Could not lock the doors going to pool
THE VIEW.FROM THE BALCONY OF THE BEACH. CLOSE TO PARKING LOT.SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH. EXCELLENT RESTURANT ON THE GROUNDS.
GROUND FLOOR ROOM DOOR OPENED TO THE SALLYPORT WHICH WAS SOMETIMES NOISEY WITH CARS AND PEOPLE.

Loved the view, I didn't like the booking games and not having free coffee in the morning. Food was good. At breakfast. Didn't try anything else. Covid is over your cleaning crew could clean the room once in a while at least bring towels. Saved on tips though.
Some of the staff was rude. Not dropping names but I remember. No free coffee so im staying at the Hampton or the George.
We ate breakfast W/Th; plentiful servings at a very reasonable price. Had pleasure of same server both times; she was outstanding in our opinion.

The location was what you'd expect, every hotel on that route has the same oceanside stay, so I can't rate it high for that, just normal and good. The front desk was very polite, welcoming and helpful
Breakfast was not included, though advertised (no breakfast when 3rd party booking). Pricing was no different than if you book directly through the hotel and get the included breakfast. The servers in the restaurant were very under trained and incredibly slow, though polite, just not up for the task of serving more than one table at a time. Waiting 2 hours for food in an empty restaurant is expected there (now I see why it was always empty). Forget about drink refills, you better sip slowly on your water. The prices were ridiculously high for what was served and the experience. The room was always humid and everything was covered with condensation our entire 4 day stay. Sand was everywhere (expected), but no way to sweep or vacuum it up. Room service never came to clean, vacuum, or make the bed, never new sheets. Instead, they came by and just dropped off a load of new towels on top of all the old stuff.

I don’t hate it but the property is vintage or older. Our room was in the Tower & was good. The bed was super comfortable, the furniture pieces & appliances were very good. The room itself could use a bit more refreshing. You can definitely tell it’s an older facility.
The staff couldn't have been any nicer.
When we booked the room online, we indicated the preference for an upper floor room. When we checked in the clerk saw no indication of that and initially assigned us a first floor room...but then she gave us the choice of a first or second floor room. When we arrived at that room, a maintenance person was leaving and the room felt aged and one side of the dresser was pulled away from the wall as well as someone's hairclip left on the dresser. The light switch in the bathroom also had crud that needed cleaning.

When we arrived, check-in was delayed by an hour. After driving all day, having to wait another hour just to get into our room was a really frustrating way to start our vacation.
Our room was on the third floor, and there are no elevators, only stairs. We were notified about this a few weeks before our trip, so that wasn’t an issue. What was disappointing was the condition of the room itself. It looked nothing like the photos on the website. The room had an old, musty smell and just felt outdated and cheaply put together. We booked a room with a resort view, but the only thing we could really see from our window was a tree blocking almost everything. The ceiling had obvious signs of water damage, the bed was held up by black iron gas pipes, and the bathroom door wouldn’t even close all the way. The couch looked stained, worn, and musty. The TV wires hung down the wall inside a plastic cover, which made the room look unfinished. If you turn on the ceiling fan, be prepared for one of the loudest, most annoying squeaking noises you’ve ever heard. The bathroom had an ugly, cheap looking, peel off sticker tile throughout it, and they didn’t even bother covering the exposed finish nails in the trim. To make matters worse, the shower water would randomly become extremely hot without warning, which was especially painful after spending the day in the sun. The only positive things I can say are that the front desk staff were friendly, and the beach itself wasn’t nearly as crowded as other areas of Myrtle Beach. Overall, this stay was a huge disappointment. My family and I stayed for six nights and spent around $2,000. Looking back, I wish we had booked somewhere else in North Myrtle Beach for the same price. We could have had an oceanfront room that actually looked like the pictures and been much happier. I’m leaving this review because I think it’s important for hardworking families to know exactly what they’re paying for before they book. Based on our experience, I can’t recommend staying here. Save your money and book somewhere else.
