Disappointment, do better….

Cleanliness. Had an issue with my towel being nasty, it smelled sour, then I looked after wiping my face and it had a knot of female hair on it. Contacted nick the manager and he questioned my integrity. Hung up the phone and fought tooth and nail to give me a refund. He finally gave me 15% off which I still think is short changing me. Hygiene is a critical aspect, having a sour, hair covered towel directly off the shelf put on my face was highly disappointing. I’ve stayed at this location for YEARS. And the rudeness of him hanging up the phone and literally antagonizing me about the situation was HIGHLY upsetting. NICK do better….

Staff was friendly, check in was smooth. Room was clean but smell of AC was unbearable.
Pros:

The breakfast was cold but adequate, can't expect too much. The room appeared very clean, the shower was confusing. It was as if they took the bathtub out and turned it into an open shower but zero lip at the edge. The faucet faces the room so when you showered the water sprayed out into the room instead of staying inside the shower (even with the shower curtain pulled closed.)

Cons:

The smell inside the room. When I arrived (late) I walked in and turned on the AC - left to eat. When I returned there was a smell but it increased when I laid down. It smelled like smelly sneakers or dirty feet. I got up to investigate, everything in the room was clean, nothing was wet, could find zero issues. It was the AC unit. I turned it off so the smell would stop. It needs to be serviced and cleaned. Directly after turning it off, the smell decreased.

Would definitely stay again
Pros:

Very clean hotel. Awesome staff, large room. We stayed here to tour Gibbs Gardens. Canton is a very nice town. Eat at queenies if you can
