Pros:

The location was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean with complimentary water and biscuit, tea and coffee. Also nice to have a window you could open a bit to let some air in.

Cons:

Our room was right outside the lift so had a bit of noise from that. Didn't have the breakfast as way too expensive.

Exceeded expectations
Pros:

The gent at reception was polite and hospitable - helped me out in the evening when I forgot my phone charger and went out of his way to retrieve a charger for me.

Disappointing due to outdated facilities, lack of cleanliness, and missing essential amenities.
Pros:

Some of the reception staff were not particularly friendly, which meant our first impression was not the best. However, the location of the hotel was very convenient, as it was close to the train station as well as the beach, coffee shops, and the town centre, which we found very helpful. We did not have breakfast or use the bar at reception, but we did use the hotel’s public toilets, which were clean.

Cons:

Our experience at the hotel was unfortunately disappointing. The room felt quite outdated. The bathroom lacked proper ventilation, which made it uncomfortable to use, and it also did not seem as clean as expected. Overall, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The main hotel lift was also broken.
In addition, several important amenities that we would normally expect from a hotel were missing. There was no safe available for storing personal belongings, and the absence of a mini fridge was inconvenient during our stay.
These issues significantly affected our overall impression of the hotel.

Great little gem
Pros:

Great for an overnight trip to Brighton or if you want great value for money - rooms are clean, spacious and not noisy at all

Cons:

Location is good for the station but if you want to be in the hustle and bustle, I’d go further toward the seafront
