Amazing stay!

Excellent family stay!

Great hotel with amazing service! We really appreciated the help of Sonia from the reception team, who made our check-in smooth and pleasant. The Rixy Kids Club was a highlight for our children; they had so much fun there. Everything was top-notch, and we would love to come back!

Best Stay in Doha
Pros:

Rixos Doha our first 2 days in Doha, and it was wonderful. Our nephew arranged they stay for us the room upgrade and the breakfast is amazing. The staff are lovely and amazingly attentive Hasna , Savio, they greeted us at the restaurant and upon checking and help us with all what we requested. We love the toiletries brand Molton brown our favourite

Great Hotel and 5 Star Service

Amazing Service from Start to Finish - Sonia Checked us in and she was so helpful her smile lit up the room she was so helpful to us in suggesting places and seeing if we were okay. All the staff was amazing they couldn't wait on you anymore if they tried.

We were All inclusive and WOW the food was amazing 10/10 and different choices for lunch and dinner every night.
Snack Pool bar was really tasty had good selection, burgers,pizzaz, chicken salad and fruit and ice cream were all included in our package.
Drink Bar was also great.

Would 100% recommend this hotel from being greeted moment we arrived luggage was taken to our room and the overall experience was outstanding.

Location was also coinvent and central everything was close and taxis were so cheap.

Excellent service on our All Inclusive holiday and ignore some of the negative reports on here!
Pros:

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Rixos Gulf hotel in Doha and wanted to share our experience with a review.
We initially chose this hotel for it's all inclusive package and although some reviews on here make negative comments about the AI deal, we had absolutely no problem with it. You have to appreciate and accept if you go to the Middle East, alcohol consumption comes with rules (you are not in the Carribean!), so respect their culture and obey the rules. They are simple enough......alcohol cannot be taken to your rooms. You cannot walk around with a glass of alcohol in your hand/drink your drink where it's served to you and all will be fine! As for the drinks, I am a wine drinker and the white, red and rose were all acceptable (they are South African wines, which are all ok). My husband is a gin drinker, and he was happy with Beefeater gin. Unfortunately there is no brandy or Bailey's on the AI inclusion but I could live without that. The only criticism I can think of is that they do not seem to have any 'list' of what is included, we had to ask, but by wearing the hotel AI wrist band, you get served whatever the brand is for your package.
The main buffet restaurant has been criticized - and yes, we found it noisy at times, and there are some very badly behaved children from a certain country (their parents are much better behaved!) but that said, we picked our dining times to try and avoid the rush. The food in the main buffet was some of the best choice we've ever experienced and we are well travelled and have had many a hotel buffet meal in our time. Everything is beautifully presented and each evening is a theme.
We were entitled to three a la carte restaurant meals, so we chose to dine in Mr Tailor steak house twice, and the Indian restaurant once. Absolutely delicious meals in both restaurants.
Our room was on the 5th floor, overlooking the main pool/entertainment area. Again, some have made mention of the noise in the evenings from the entertainment. It wasn't an issue for us, as we just closed the balcony door but even with it open, the music stopped by 11pm, if not before.
The band that played there were exceptional. I'm not sure what they were called but they played all kinds of music to suit all tastes and they did it well. I particularly loved their version of 'Ordinary People', absolutely brilliant!
The beach area was where we chose to relax on the days we stayed in the hotel and were not out and about. It was quieter than the pool area and the sea was a lovely way to cool down, rather than the heated swimming pool.
We walked from the hotel to the nearest metro station to make our way into the main part of Doha - an easy level walk of 15 minutes at a slow pace. We took a taxi on one occasion which was cheap, but the metro sell a day pass which is incredible value.
All the staff and I mean ALL the staff at the hotel were courteous, friendly, welcoming and the service was excellent. I did feel sorry for them as some of the other guests were so rude to them and abrupt, yet they kept their cool and remained professional.
So a huge thankyou to Rixos Gulf hotel and your entire team for a wonderful week's holiday. We would have no hesitation to recommend you to our friends/family who want to enjoy a week in the sunshine, with the all inclusive added bonus.

Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha
Pros:

We stayed for ten nights all inclusive at the Rixos Gulf hotel.
The hotel is ideally located for the airport & to get into Doha. Ubers are very cheap in Doha.
The hotel was very clean with 2 pools & a private beach & cordoned off part of the sea for guests.
The room was spacious with coffee & tea making facilities & a fridge.
The floor of choice was excellent with a buffet and then 2 à la carte restaurants that could be booked. There was also a poolside snack bar & a coffe shop in reception.
The staff were all very courteous with special mentions for Sonia on the customer service desk. Rhia, Yassine & Mert on the outdoor service finally
Putu, Lasitha, Ali working in the outside bar
We would definitely recommend this hotel for people looking to stay in Doha.
