It was available when others in the area were full. Also liked that there was breakfast
Originally they said we got the last room but there were very few cars in the parking lot and no one at breakfast.
Great spot...
I think they were working on the highway/exit at the time of our stay, so getting there was a bit awkward taking exit way before using back roads.
The size of the room and the size of the bed
The hot tub was broken that was in the room, wanted to use it but could not.
The breakfast had a variety of options, and everything was kept nice and clean. I could see my vehicle from my room, and there were no security issues. The staff was always friendly and was able to answer our questions about different venues in the area. I would highly recommend this location.
We stayed there at least 3 times. We are happy with the accommodations.
Location, price point given the dynamic Iowa City area price that particular weekend. Still on the high side for the quality of hotel.
Bed was poor, breakfast was barely average

Everything. It was dirty. Legit thought we would get bedbugs or something worse.

I’ve been staying at this property for our annual trips for several years. The staff is always wonderful and the breakfast isn’t bad. The breakfast area is always nice and clean and comfortable. When we needed to switch room, the front desk lady was so wonderful and changed us so quickly without the slightest hesitation. The lobby is very inviting and the hotel is generally clean.
I’m really sad how this property is kind of breaking down. It needs a lot of repair and updating. We changed our first room because the floor was so creeky and weak feeling right at the entrance. It truly felt like there was a hole in the floor under the carpet. The room we moved to was better but the ceiling looked like it had had some cracks/water damage from above and was not quite perfectly fixed. The hotel is also settling a bit as the bathroom door in the first room was hard to open and shut because it was so tight against the floor.
There was also a very musty smell in both rooms. Not out of the ordinary for a family hotel with a pool but the carpet needs cleaned.
Even the pool area seemed very broken down since last year. Hardly any chairs at all and the ones there were cracked, floor needed swept, and pool had a lot of debris in it that needed skimmed/vacuumed.
All in all, I’m sad that we will probably not be back. We always have a lot of fun here on our yearly North Liberty/Iowa City trips but I think we are going to stay in Iowa City or Coralville from here forward.

The room was smalling smoke, there was a cleaning equipment in the room when we arrived, because, even it's a free smoking place, the smell was terrible. Breakfast is horrible.
It was pretty quiet considering construction close by
The TV remote didn’t have a back piece over the batteries.
