Never flying with American Airlines again

The property and rooms were clean and maintained despite the age and dated appearance. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced for the Bahamas. Staff was friendly. Only drawback is no fridge or coffee maker in the room I had. I suppose I could have inquired at the desk but I ended up buying a styrofoam cooler and 20lb bag of ice.

There is for improvement!!

From the minute I arrived at the hotel, I was treated extremely well. Everybody was friendly, gracious, and responded to all my inquiries & requests.
The hotel is older but kept vey clean. My room was vrry clean as well. The food in the restaurant was prepared and presented well. They had a variety of food for breakfast, lunch, & dinner.
All-in-all, a great experience! A great deal for the price!

I just stayed for one night. It was good. I was not feeling Good. So, all I had to do is rest. Didn’t get time for me to explore everything. But room is clean, AC, facilities. I liked it

Firstly my reservation implied the hotel had taken a deposit but on arrival this was found not to be so., Hotels.Com need to modify their wording.
The room was fine but the air conditioning was very loud and could not run permanently so kicked on and off all night keeping me awake. Also the noise from AC meant the television sound had to be turned up possibly annoying neighboring rooms. In the bathroom one of two lights was out and the toilet was hard to flush leaving 'evidence' after the flushing stopped. Finally two bottles in the shower containing shampoo and or body washing liquidis were not marked with what they were.

Food was vile reheated old food from days before. I bought food and wasted my money just to bin it. It was very old and reheated food as the restaurant was always quiet. The bed was ok, but bedding very old and yellow and mismatched. No duvet, just a scratchy old throw. Air con was so noisy and yet the room was hot and stuffy. It was the same story when checking out another room. It was just as hot. Reception man refused to help me carry my shopping up one day despite seeing me struggle. There is no one. No bell boy, no elevator. Staff on reception, especially the man is very lazy. I have moved to another hotel. It us much better, and oddly enough its cheaper

My kids and I enjoyed our stay here at Royal Islander. It was a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

It was nice my room a a little bit warm due to the Ac needing to cool a bit better but other than that it was nice

I stayed 4-6 July 2025. On both night they had so teens in the room next to us I think it was B106 making a lot of noise. It was about 20 teens in that room and by the pool area making noise all night from 10pm - until morning. This is the first time and the last time visiting your hotel. Also my flight was 8am and no body was at the front desk to get my $50 deposit. I had to email the hotel to get it just to much.

It was very nice and the people was friendly but that omelets was off the chain

It can use some extra entertainment on the property.

Due to a wore veing cut we had no internwt access during our stay

I've stayed at this hotel many times before and although it's definitely not 4star, it used to at least be clean. My first disappointment was requesting a king bed, but being told there weren't any available. After seeing several empty king rooms during my stay (the drapes are open), I was told thay they’re not using that part of the hotel... I wonder why? When I got to my first room, it smelled very dirty. Thinking it may have been the carpet, we requested a room without it. When we got to the second room, it had the same smell. We determined that it must've been the drapes. Everything from the drapes to the linens and towels needs to be replaced. The worst part about my stay was the roaches (yes, plural) in my room. That was the first time we'd ever seen them
there, but we definitely weren't surprised. Seeing 1 roach is one thing... seeing multiple is unacceptable!!! They were the big ones, so very noticeable. The last one we saw was crawling on the ceiling!!!

Very affordable and located conveniently near to every necessity you can need for your trip. Accommodations are not luxurious but still comfortable and clean.

I liked the room and its amenities.Very spacious and clean.Nothing negative at all.

ENJOYED all the staff I came in contact with & seeing others 'PUTTING the PLACE BACK TOGETHER after MOTHER NATURE's WORK'

It was clean and in good distance for where I wanted to go. It was not Baha Mar, but it was not Smith's Motel, either... It's decent for the money.
