Not being able to book a car park when booking the room

This was our fourth stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and the room was large and comfortable with everything we needed. Price was also very good.
Problems with the hot water being excessively hot.

The staff at the reception desk were really friendly, the cleaner was lovely and very attentive, the room was very large
There was only a bedside light to light up the whole room because all the overhead light bulbs had been taken out, which made it very dark and difficult to work in the room. There were not plug sockets near the bed, the walls were very thin and if the people next door were noisy there was no one at the front desk overnight to report it to. Finally, the shower head was fixed to the wall and was incredibly low, I think you would have had to be 5 foot or shorter for it to be above your head.
Great location in the centre of Hamilton city. Despite its age the hotel is a gem.
