My wife and I stayed for a relaxing weekend away. The room was basic, a bit tired but clean. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We like to use the fitness and spa facilities, but we were disappointed. The gym, whilst well equipped, was far too hot to exercise and needs air conditioning. The gym is directly above the pool, so is very humid. The pool water was too cold for a spa pool so felt uncomfortable. I pointed this out to hotel reception but they quipped, at least they balance each other out. Unhelpful.
Loved that the receptionist set the tone right away even if the pool tried to humble us with the cold water. Enjoyed the massage. It was a little busy probably because it's on a weekend.
Then we head down for the Afternoon Tea, the private room for the six of us was such a nice touch!
Big props to John (at the Brasserie) for going the extra mile — and for all the staff at the bar/restau. Thank you!
What a great place.
All staff were super friendly, our lakeside room was just perfect and will definitely recommend to friends / family.
Excellent value for money - will definitely be returning soon
Came here with my daughter for a spa day. Great treatments, pool area nice but no hot tub. Sauna and steam room nice, nice relaxation room. Pool was busy and quite cool. Afternoon tea was nice.
I have had the best day out. The staff were very attentive and I can’t wait to visit again. Melroy especially his cocktails were outstanding and Caridon Silroy and Lily for looking after us for the whole evening!!
I wanted to shout out the amazing Nelio who supported us during our stay. Our 1 year old pup fell in love with the lovely dog bed provided in the room and Nelio ran around to find us one we could take home with us. Our dog has absolutely loved it at home and we are really grateful for all of his help!
Our stay was really lovely all round. The spa was great, food nice and rooms comfortable and clean. Thanks so much!
My family booked four rooms to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary along with a meal in the brasserie. The Brasserie menu is somewhat limited but the food was pretty decent. Good buffet breakfast and the Sunday roast at The Boathouse was very good.
The bar is nice with decent beers, good cocktails but seating area felt too small for the size of the hotel and there’s certainly a lack of seating.
The parents opted to upgrade their room to a deluxe lake-view room which was nice and modern, spacious and bright with access to the shared terrace.
The three other standard double rooms were very poor for a four star rated hotel and we’d expected better from a Devere branded establishment.
Our room, although spacious and comfortable enough was basic and definitely showing signs of its age. The room was stuffy and stiflingly hot with no fan or AC available, I had to turn off the radiator during the night and couldn’t open the ground floor window as the handles were locked shut (one was actually broken). Our room was unreasonably hot and poorly ventilated. The window frames were mouldy. The small TV did not work/turn on, checked plug etc. We were woken up by barking dogs outside our room early the next morning, thought I’d woken up in the kennels. We’ve stayed in budget hotels that are better than this for less than half the price. Seems you are paying a premium based on location only rather than high standards.
Our bathroom was a bit dilapidated, after flushing the toilet the cistern continued emptying into the bowl as the plunger was stuck.
We reported all these issues and expressed our disappointment with our room to reception which seemed to land on deaf ears with no solution offered except that ‘we’ll have maintenance take a look’.
Overall, a beautiful location but for the amount of money that we spent collectively, we had expected better and were left disappointed. The templated responses to the previous negative feedback here indicates that the comments are not being taken onboard by hotel management.
Stayed in apartment 636 really awful. Wasn’t clean full of cobwebs bedroom was dark and dingy shower was coming off the wall which we couldn’t use luckily there was another bathroom. Furniture outside was slimy and wet couldn’t sit on it. Holes everywhere plaster coming off in front room. Tried to change room when we arrived the duty manager attitude was disgusting basically said tough no other rooms so we asked if we could just not stay and be refunded and she said no you won’t get a full refund only partial.
The views and wildlife were lovely but u couldn’t walk anywhere as it was muddy and flooded. Spa was overcrowded with no treatments available. Breakfast was like a cattle market really busy and the hot food was really bad. Coffee out of machine cold. Overall we paid a lot of money and was really bad wouldn’t return !!! Don’t waist your money place gone downhill to say the least !!!!!
I had a lovely two day way just taken time out just to relax food was excellent room was excellent had a view off the lakes cleanliness off the room was excellent did not have problem with noise levels
Our stay was amazing from start to finish. We were greeted at check in by Caitlyn and she was so lovely and knowledgeable with showing us the map and how to get around the hotel, we arrived in our room with the perfect lake view and also got surprise treats from the team. The leisure facilities were great with an indoor pool, perfect for all weathers. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely return especially in the summer!
Great experience from Ruby in the restaurant very attentive and kind, Jemma and Melroy behind the bar make incredible cocktails. Check out with Euan was super easy and quick. Couldn’t recommend Cotswold Water Park enough.
The duty manager Kirsty was always seen and helping with busy periods- even Hannah and Liz from their HR team helped me with my luggage and when I got lost on site🤣.
Overall very attentive staff and great service- incredible place and views!!
Wonderful stay, amazing service from all the staff everyone was so friendly
Lovely hotel! The room was really nice with a great view of the lake. We were checked in by Caitlin, she was super helpful and provided us with lots of information.
Brilliant service form Jemma and Melroy behind the bar! Ruby did an excellent job serving the table and keeping onto of drinks orders.
I recently stayed at De Vere Cotswold Water Park for a business trip and had a fantastic experience. Our meetings were held in the Kingfisher Suite, which was a brilliant space – spacious, well laid out, and filled with natural light. It created a productive yet comfortable atmosphere, perfect for a full day of meetings.
My bedroom was equally impressive. The room was beautifully presented, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent – exactly what you need after a long day of work. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful treats in the room, which added a really nice personal touch and made the stay feel that bit more special.
A special mention to Caitlin on reception who checked me in. She was extremely welcoming and professional, and took the time to clearly explain where my room was located as well as the facilities, including the gym. It made arriving after a long journey completely stress-free.
Overall, a seamless and enjoyable stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to return for business or leisure.
Amazing hotel, with a great and comfortable room. All staff were nothing but lovely, Caitlin in reception was particularly lovely who checked me in.
Lovely stay. Big bedroom with a nice view. Caitlin who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
Such a wonderful weekend stay.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The apartment was beautifully prepared with balloons, a card, and sweets for my son’s 5th birthday - it made the weekend extra special, and he genuinely didn’t want to leave.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and felt very safe for our family. There was one small issue with a bit of plaster coming away from the wall in the living area, but it didn’t affect our stay.
We had a fantastic time and are already looking at dates to book again.
I had a fantastic experience when I recently stayed for a work conference, the food, location, gym and spa facilities were all at the highest standard, and the staff were very helpful. Matt and Louise in the gym and spa were especially very helpful and deserve a big shout out!
Nice holiday home on complex around lake. Usual 6 adults/1 child & 2 dogs..Loads of room, 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twin bed rooms . Nice decking area to rear overlooking lake, barbecue ( gas) on decking, table/chairs included outside. Not too far to walk to nearby water sports centre, good fun if little bit expensive.. Games area. Fairly near along with playground. Only downer was miserable owners of next door property who seemed to check the Bentley ( yes a Bentley ) everyday …. Curtain twitchers at home I’ll bet, probably in charge of local “ homewatch “ team. Couple of yappy handbag dogs to boot. But didn’t spoil our holiday.
