Location. Value.
Spacious suite, excellent location! We were easily able to tour the city on foot, but also a metro station very close. Whole Foods is right around the corner, lots of great restaurants in the area. Nice sunset view over Georgetown University.
Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Das Regierungsviertel sowie die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal war während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.
Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, hell und praktisch geschnitten. Auch die Ausstattung lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die voll ausgestattete Küche mit einem richtigen Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle sowie einem Kühlschrank mit integriertem Tiefkühlfach. Dadurch eignet sich das Hotel auch hervorragend für einen längeren Aufenthalt.
Leider gab es auch erhebliche Mängel. Das Schlafsofa ist veraltet, die Matratze war stark durchgelegen und die Federung so verschlissen, dass ein erholsamer Schlaf nicht möglich war. Das anschließend bereitgestellte Zustellbett befand sich ebenfalls in einem desolaten Zustand und stellte keine angemessene Alternative dar.
Auch die Sauberkeit ließ deutlich zu wünschen übrig. Die Zimmer waren bei unserer Ankunft nicht gründlich gereinigt. Der Fußboden war schmutzig und die Bettwäsche wies Verschmutzungen auf. Insgesamt machte das Zimmer einen ungepflegten Eindruck. Aus unserer Sicht entspricht der Zustand der Sauberkeit nicht den Erwartungen, die man an ein Hotel dieser Kategorie stellen darf.
Great location in Foggy Bottom. Spacious rooms. Staff are very helpful and friendly.The beds are comfy. The hotel feels cozy and intimate. It's a great value.
Not a big deal, but the bathrooms are very small. However, there is a mirrored space right outside the bathroom for drying hair ect.
Wonderful experience! Suite had plenty of space for our family of 6. Very welcoming for pets as well. Laundry was convenient and easy to use. We checked out 2 bikes to explore DC with the family-bikes were very well maintained and comfortable. Every staff member was very friendly-from housekeeping to front desk. Ashley Jean (front desk) went out of her way to help our family. She was very accommodating when we had an issue that delayed checkout and smoothed over a stressful situation. The other gentleman that was very helpful was the doorman/valet. He was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. Location was great-easy walk/bike ride to major landmarks. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the location was excellent, and the onsite restaurant was both convenient and a real highlight.
Anna at the front desk went above and beyond—she even came outside in the pouring rain to bring us an umbrella. Mr. B was pleasant and helpful as we settled into our room. At the restaurant (Matera), Amanda and Cam always greeted us with a smile and made every meal fun and welcoming.

We enjoyed our stay at the River Inn. It was clean, comfortable, and great for 3-4 people.
Ashley Jean at the front desk made some great dining recommendations. And the team took good care of our luggage after check out because we had a late flight and wanted to meet a friend for lunch and see some more sights.
The location is excellent with safe and convenient access to the Foggy Bottom Metro stop and GWU campus and the west end of the National Mall.
Highly recommend and would stay again, especially with the great value we got for our booking.
