If you are looking for an affordable hotel close to all main attractions, the Hotel Embassy staff are the perfect hosts
Pros:

The staff were very accommodating. We were close to all the famous landmarks. Our rooms were clean and beautifully laid out. The breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve ever had in Europe.

Cons:

The trains and street traffic kept me up. They only quit from midnight to about 5AM.

Lovely stay in a well managed, well appointed hotel.
Pros:

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Hotel beautifully appointed and well maintained. All staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Air conditioning in the spacious bedroom was very welcome. Good sized wardrobe with built in safe for your valuables. Good range of self-service breakfast items including a small selection of cooked items. Very handy location, approximately 25 minutes by taxi to Florence airport, a ten minute walk to the main railway station Firenze Santa Maria Novella and 15 minutes walk to the city centre.

Cons:

The same cooked items every day for breakfast. A variety of different items on different days would have been nicer.

The hotel was nice. Staff were very nice. Nothing over the top however pleasant enough.
I felt for the amount of money we paid for the room it really was not worth it. Our room was very dark and noise from the outside trains were noticeable.
The breakfast is good with a lot of variety. I think the grilled burnt ham doe not really pass over as bacon. If you like to eat a lot then this is the a great buffet to start your day.
The hotel is very conveniently located behind the train station. Approx 3 - 4 min walk. It takes approx 5 - 10 mins to walk to the core and further if you want to go into the city. Not a problem it is a nice walk.
Overall I don't think I would pay the money to stay here again unless there was special offer on.

Small, dark and noisy room. More protein options for breakfast.
