Stunning property right in the middle of Florence
The property was cheery enough, Breakfast was good enough, hotel rooms were spacious and clean enough. However, it was a bit Spartan, but I guess that’s expected for the price.
Bring your earplugs! The property was right next to a busy highway and was very noisy on that side.
I object to their policy of charging the entire amount on the day of check-in, even before arriving to check in. I stayed for five nights and had two room reservations, so this was a very large bill. We planned on splitting the two room bills into two different visa cards, however it was made much more difficult because the whole fee was already charged. This was not indicated on Booking.com where I made the reservation. The reservation indicated that if you are a no-show, you will be charged for the first night. That is not what happened. There was also no mention of the $50 deposit for damage either on Booking.com or at the front desk upon checking in. We ultimately worked out the refund from being double charged for one room, and the transfer of half the bill to a second credit card, but wow, what a pain!
This does not seem like industry standard to me. I have never been required to pay for everything upfront unless it was something I chose to do because of a cheaper rate. I was told it is indicated on the Hilton website, however, it did not agree with the Booking.com website. If they’re going to accept third-party reservations from places like booking, they should make sure it is accurate.
I liked the properly when I stayed there in early March. I did not stay April 5th. The people there were very nice unlike the people at booking.com. They actually gave very nice customer service, unlike booking.com. I would stay there again , but would not book it thru Booking.com

The staff here was great and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to try to make this location feel comfortable.
The walls and floors are very thin. It was very difficult for me to sleep the first night due to the room above me.

Breakfast disappointed us. Nothing hot. Nothing was individually packed. Couldn’t take anything on the run.
No toilet paper. No hand towels. No tissue. All that was left was scraps. First time we went to the bathroom it was already the end of the roll. First time we sneezed and needed a tissue it was the last one.
Large room with comfortable beds. Good location. Breakfast was somewhat lacking, but adequate.

Staff was very courteous and friendly. Facilities appeared to be in state of “work in progress.” Location is excellent for those traveling and crossing the city.
Bathroom and sleeping room shared the same environment, I felt uncomfortably while I was in bed and family member in the lavatory.
