Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences

The hotel was in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shops near by. The view from the room was incredible but so was the view while waiting for an elevator(building c). The staff were extremely friendly and even when we arrived before check in and were just wanting to leave our bags they offered us towels if we wanted to go for a swim while we waited. The staff were more than happy to call a taxi for us when needed and ensured a porta cot was set up for our son. The room was very large with all the needed amenities. The bathroom had a very large sized bathtub which was great. We had a full kitchen and washing machine that we didn’t utilise much however it was good to know we had the ability. We did stay while the hotel was doing renovations but that didn’t impact our stay all. The restaurant was closed but our included breakfast was provided at an another restaurant two minutes away.

Location is great, handy to shops and beach

We stayed 9 nights in an apartment on the 9th floor - great view over the ocean and the passing parade. Excellent set-up in the apartment itself and a good buffet downstairs. Staff were very patient with my high school French and quickly spoke in English !

It's not within walking distance of Noumea itself, but there a variety of accompanied tours going there. With a museum that has a model of the "EMDEN" but with no information that it was eventually destroyed in battle by HMAS Sydney in early 1914.

Nor was there any reference to Australia's help in September 1940 in the overthrow of the Vichy French administration. The presence of HMAS Adelaide at that time was undoubtedly a stabilising force and allowed a negotiated and respectful withdrawal of the Vichy-controlled sloop Dumont d‘Urville, carrying those professing allegiance to Petain, thus putting an end to the Vichy presence in the South Pacific.

Plenty of local cafes and restaurants and small supermarkets within walking distance.

The apartment was roomy, clean and well set out with great views over the ocean. The staff were an absolute standout in that they were so friendly and helpful even with the language differences, most spoke good English and worked things out when the translation didn’t work. Breakfast options were good, the location terrific, we had a great holiday.

Recently renovated and good size apartments all rooms were a good size. Well located and easy to get around. Balcony was excellent as was the view. The staff were generally friendly.

The staff at the hotel were friendly, and even though the room was only advertised as 'Garden View' we still had a view of the ocean which was a bonus. Three bedroom apartment was spacious. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants but far enough away from the noisier bars.
