The rooms were well appointed. The breakfast was very good. There was coffee and soda is available throughout the day. Excellent location right in the heart of Carmel.

Cons:

The walls were very thin. We could literally hear every word of the conversation of the people besides us. Initially, they put us in a ground level room. It was very uncomfortable. It felt like we were in the basement. My husband and I woke up and could not breathe. Our nose were so stuffy and we were so congested. I don’t know what was going on down there. We requested to move to a different floor and they did accommodate us which I was thankful for. Also the parking was not good. Spaces were so tight. It sounds silly, but when you can’t get out of the car and you’re already tired from traveling and the spaces are so tight it’s just an added hassle. The woman at the front desk told us that you just have to hope there’s a space available and if there’s not, you have to park on the street. That is not cool. Don’t advertise parking is available if you’re not guaranteed spot. Happy hour was appealing to us however, the wine was low quality wine. The cookies were advertised as a plus but again they were just cookies. The hot tub and sauna for only open from 9 AM until 9 PM. So coming back from dinner and wanted to go in the hot tub after dinner did not work because it was already shut down for the night.

Wir durften das Auto über die Checkoutzeit parkieren. Das haben wir sehr geschätzt.

Pros:

Back after 4 years – and just as impressed as the first time

We stayed here once before, four years ago, and have now returned. The result: the hotel hasn’t lost any of its charm. So much changes around us over time, but the character and values of this place have stayed exactly the same as what won us over on our first visit.

It’s rare for a hotel to hold onto this kind of consistency in quality and atmosphere over such a long stretch of time. We’d come back anytime – highly recommend!

I enjoyed the hotel not too big not too small.
Pros:

Both of the concieges we met were very friendly and funny. I did enjoy the variety of the breakfast. The afternoon or eveing wine and cheese was unique.

Cons:

The water leaking were on the walkway from the individual air conditioners that were on, one was by a stairway and it was leaking down the stairs.

Perfect choice for location, comfort and value!
Pros:

Beautiful and quaint! Very comfortable rooms and amenities. Staff excellent, loved the morning breakfast and delicious coffee. The pool was perfect area to relax and grandkids loved it.

Cons:

Everything was excellent!

Carina.
Pros:

Struttura carina in stile motel con piscina in mezzo. Posizione molto vicina a State Street (5 min a piedi). Piscina utilizzabile fino alle 21:00 (pulita). Dalle 16:30 offrono vino e formaggi e biscotti per bimbi. Idea molto carina. La struttura metta a disposizione anche le bici gratuitamente.

Cons:

Colazione scarsa. I dolci erano buoni. Il salato praticamente nullo. Sicuramente migliorabile. Personale un po freddo rispetto a tutte le calorose accoglienze ricevute durante il tour in California.

Nice hotel with friendly staff in a good location
Pros:

Great breakfast with items not normally found in chain hotels. There was frittata, yogurt and a good selection of pastries. We appreciated daily room cleaning and the kitchenette in the room.

Cons:

The hotel is a little dated, even though there are plenty of upgrades in the rooms.

Pros:

nice breakfast, convenient location, friendly staff

Cons:

no private balcony, it's all connected at the back of the room which felt a little uncomfortable that people can walk right past your room. So you have to keep your curtains drawn the whole time over the sliding doors. I like to sit on hotel balconies so this was a bummer

Great place for a nice getaway in SB.
Pros:

Close to the Marina and my favorite restaurant Brophy’s . Really nice staff and good breakfast to start the day.
Rooms are comfortable and clean .
Pool is nice after a hot summer day cruising around town for a cool off before during happy hour with a glass of wine.

Cons:

Really enjoyed access to free bikes to ride around the beach and downtown .
