Stayed at this location for the first time this year, and we booked the Sea View Balcony Suite. The room was absolutely massive, with plenty of space, and definitely worth booking.
The only issues we experienced were that the patio door leaked during a severe rainstorm, and the light above the door was flickering like a strobe light, which eventually went out around the time we checked out.
Overall, it’s a great location—very close to the village of Sneem and only about a 10-minute walk.
Food was good
Extremely outdated room. Staff not experienced and didn't have enough people working
Outstanding views. Very spacious room.
Beautiful location, the village is a very short stroll from the hotel its location is perfect. The hotel is so relaxing with amazing views. Breakfast was so tasty. The rooms are spacious, well worth the stay, will be back again
We had an absolutely amazing time at Sneem hotel Kerry. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and incredibly comfortable beds. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable—nothing was too much trouble. Location is stunning with panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and the breakfast buffet was delicious with a huge variety of options! We will definitely go back.
My wife and I have been guests at Sneem hotel now for many years and in never disappoints. Recently I brought a small group of our retired friends to the hotel for a night and we had a lovely stay. Everyone was singing the praises of the food, cleanliness , attention to detail and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff .
I would like to pay special mention to Lucy at reception. She is always excellent to deal with .
This hotel has a very special atmosphere as soon as you walk in to the lobby. Its hard to describe but it but if you take the time to visit Sneem hotel I think you will know what I mean.
For us a must visit when in Kerry.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The location is amazing and makes the whole experience even more special. We really enjoyed the stunning view from our hotel room! The rooms are hugh and the breakfast includes everything you could ask for.
The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well maintained and the staff is lovely! - always friendly and helpful. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended!“
The walls are a bit thin but I still slept like a rock in these extremely comfortable beds.
Breakfast excellent and my dog was made very welcome and had freedom to enjoy the space provided
Everything was perfect
The location was stunning, so quiet and peaceful, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and it was lovely to see Red walking around welcoming everyone.
From the exquisite view, to the exceptionally warm welcome from Lyndsey, the superb service and attention from Carlos with his tremendous sense of fun, we had an absolute ball. The chef deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to create really thoughtful and delicious meals to accommodate our additional requirements. Already missing Red, the gorgeous red setter, we are planning our return…….
As Iv just visited Sneem Hotel for the fourth visit, with my dog,I would normally give 5 stars, but on this visit,I give 4.
I don’t think the room service staff, knew I was there,as my towels, were not renewed, and my bed was not made, for the duration of my visit.
Did it ruin my stay,of course it didn’t.
My dog Belle, was disappointed as Red was in the bad books.
All in all,a fine place to stay, food was excellent, staff were very friendly.
We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 4! The hotel itself was closed but we were able to stay in one of the dog friendly, self catering apartments which was perfect. Large comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms with fab showers, spotlessly clean. There's a lovely little walk through the grounds that takes you to the village. The owner/staff were very accommodating letting us bring both dogs. The garden/grounds were immaculate. Really good value for money. Would love to make this an annual trip in the winter. There's a couple of pubs and places to eat in the village. We only stopped at one pub and had a drink outside as the dogs got muddy on the walk so not sure if they were dog friendly but we saw plenty of dogs around the village, there were 3 in one of the shops we visited so I'd imagine most places are! There's a fabulous beach about half an hour's drive away (Derrynane).
Have been to Sneem hotel twice over the last few years. First time was during Christmas 2022 was very very quite but ideal , open fire on arrival and red looking for a pet ! Second time was summer 2025 . Staff both times were so nice , from reception to cleaning staff to bar and restraunt, so pleasant and always up for a chat!
Short walk to the village with some lovely little pubs and places to eat.
A brilliant hotel with staff and facilities to match. From the initial check in to checking out the staff were excellent and friendly. There was a large wedding on when we arrived and the staff handled everything in their stride. Our room 121 was amazing, one of the largest i have ever stayed in . The view from the large balcony was stunning. Everything was spotlessly clean. A big bathroom complete with a bath, it might not suit anyone who has access difficulties to have a shower. Food was excellent . Would highly recommend and would definitely return .
The hotel was lovely and the views amazing. We were staying in the apartments however which were definitely not 4 star. Very basic and pretty uncomfortable. There was no hair dryer provided and when we asked for one we were given one that didn’t work. The second hair dryer provided was functional but pretty pathetic. When we fed back on this the reply was ‘hair dryers are never provided’…quite a bizarre response for a 4 star establishment. I wouldn’t not stay at this hotel again - but I’d definitely avoid the apartments.
It was a beautiful property with very friendly staff and amazing views!
Not a thing!
Lovely location , grand reception and our room was excellent.
Great allround except , its not Irish and the tea and coffee is the worst i've ever had.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. There's a really relaxed vibe there
