Excellent location
Pros:

Excellent location. Just by the beach. 5 min walk to train station. City center starts right there. Staff was amazing.

Wonderful 11 night stay
Pros:

I stayed during an unusually extremely hot July and the room was very comfortable to sleep in. There is air conditioning in the room, however, at night leaving the balcony doors open was enough keep the room cool. No mosquitos. I had an ocean view and it was a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. It was a single room however it had a spacious queen bed, a desk, a small fridge and my room (208) had a walk in robe which was terrific as I was staying 11 nights. It was nice to be able to completely unpack my suitcase. The bed was made every day which was great. The fridge broke down during my stay and it was replaced within an hour of advising the reception staff. The staff are very attentive. The hotel has access to a little section of water with lounge chair and umbrella. For those unfamiliar with European beaches, they are not free. So the chair & umbrella costs 15 euros per person. I had a lovely stay at Hotel Italia e Lido and will return next year.

Lovely location, sweet people.
Pros:

Here now 8 nights and we just love it! So different, it is an older hotel and if you give it time you will discover it is like going back to when things were more simple and people were kinder. Nothing slick, renovated or cool for instagram and its 100% perfect that way. We love our big terrace overlooking the harbour, our king bed is so good, the water pressure best on our trip. The staff have all been so nice and helpful and completely genuine. Rapallo is a wonderful place & we feel so glad we chose this hotel as its easy to go to the ferry, old town, train & beach on foot. We loved the sunbed situation downstairs too.
Our only problem is a bit of the old hotel drain smell which isn't ideal but ive encountered it at the best of hotels in Morocco and Bali so understand it happens.
Anyway we highly recommend this hotel and to book a room type with the large terrace over the sea ( 101-106 i believe).

Pros:

Vår vistelse var perfekt :) Otroligt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Läget på hotellet är nog ett av de bästa i Rapallo - precis jämte havet med en fantastisk utsikt. Äter man i deras restaurang så har även terassen denna vy. Maten i restaurangen var bland det bättre vi åt under hela vår resa, dessutom prisvärd. Frukosten var riklig och det fanns mycket att välja mellan. Rummen var lagom stora och kändes helt nyrenoverade.

Nothing exceptional here
Pros:

This hotel is no more than a 3-star and probably less. Mattress was lumpy and pillow hard as a rock. To sit on the hotel's private tar beach costs $15 in addition to your room. The sea side walk by hotel is lovely with the ferry to Portofino, etc., near the hotel.
