The front desk staff was very nice.
The room was dirty with crushes chips on the floor and inside refrigerator. The bathroom sink and counter had hair on them and a used bar of soap still in the soap dish. The toilet had hair and pee on it.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hampton Inn, Baton Rouge/Denham Springs, Louisiana
A Comfortable Stay with Southern Hospitality!
What We Loved!
During our travels through Louisiana, we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Denham Springs, just about 20 minutes from the Louisiana State Capitol building in Baton Rouge. Since visiting state capitol buildings is something our family enjoys doing during our travels, this was a convenient location for our stop!
The highlight of our stay was the wonderful lady who checked us in! She was an absolute beautiful soul! So warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Sometimes it’s the little interactions that leave the biggest impressions, and she certainly made us feel welcome. Hospitality like that deserves recognition!
Our room was comfortable and inviting, with two beds, plenty of pillows, and a nice layout for relaxing after a day of traveling. We appreciated having a mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Those little conveniences are always helpful when you’re on the road, especially when traveling as a family.
The bathroom had a nice vanity with plenty of counter space, fresh towels, and a shower/tub combination.
And, of course, there’s the Hampton Inn breakfast!
We enjoyed the usual complimentary hot breakfast that Hampton Inn is known for. Having a warm breakfast available before heading out for another day of sightseeing or traveling is always a plus in our book! It’s one less meal to plan and a convenient way to start the morning.
Overall Experience
Sometimes a hotel stay is about more than just having a place to sleep. It’s about feeling welcomed, being comfortable, and having those little conveniences that make traveling easier.
Hampton Inn Baton Rouge/Denham Springs provided just that!
The location worked well for our visit to the Louisiana State Capitol, the room offered the comforts we needed, and the complimentary hot breakfast was appreciated.

Staff was very pleasant and very helpful
We love this hotel. We are from this area and have stayed here before and have get togethers quite often. The Hampton Inn is clean, quiet, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. One of the girls at the front desk told us y'all are looking good and have a great evening. I told her that we were going to a high school reunion and it turns out her father went to school with us!! Small World.
Not a thing.
Welcoming place. Relatively quiet for being so close to a freeway and a major highway in town. Staff was accommodating and room was fine. Bed was just ok. Didn't eat breakfast.
It was always clean and quiet. Location was great too!
The staff was very accommodating. Ana and Shanna assisted us and they were just wonderful, friendly. We are from Alabama and they were able to print out some places to go and things to do in the area. We were in LA for a wedding and had other family joining us later at the hotel and the workers said they would get us rooms on the same floor which was so thoughtful of them to try and make that happen. Our room was very large (accessible) and had 2 queen beds which were comfortable. The room looked very nice, nothing out of place. We weren't sure if it came with a refrigerator but it did and we were able to put drinks in there. The TV was blurry at first but once we signed in to the Wifi, it was working great. Bathrooms were clean as well. No bugs anywhere in sight! Very nice hotel. We paid like $300 for two nights and even got free breakfast buffet in the morning! The food was delicious, the coffee was superb. All in all, a great experience.
Husband said the water pressure for the shower was a little low, but for me it felt fine.
