Friendly staff and very relaxing location, the bar was also very fun lots to keep you busy
Book the spa well in advance as it says on check in you can upgrade and book the spa but was told it’s completely sold out which was a big shame.
The spa was very good. Well worth an afternoon there for under £30. I wouldn’t bother with the touch-free extras though. Humans are always better! The rooms are well-appointed, big bathrooms, spotlessly clean. I found the bed comfortable, if a little soft, but my friend in a separate room didn’t sleep well due to the softness of the bed. You can’t please everyone….
Location not great from an aesthetic point of view. The area feels like an industrial estate. It could benefit from more trees and plants in general. There are some ok views of the lake from the bar. The hotel has a trendy corporate feel (which is its brand, so understandable, hence the neon lettering), so perfect for anyone under 30 on a business conference. The restaurant plays loud music and serves average, bland food. My friend ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich, which came without the sausage and was much too salty for her taste. I had some forgettable fish cakes which were just about warm.
There was some building work going on during our stay which made for a less peaceful morning on the day we checked out than we were expecting.
The use of check in machines , for the spa especially , made things more complicated than they needed to be and somewhat pointless, as we needed assistance from staff in both instances (who were all lovely and very helpful). Ditch all the machines, make the lobby more welcoming and comfortable and rely more on your humans!
Ver clean modern and lovely decor
Nothing
Room was fine, because I was staying in St Neots for a table tennis training weekend I would have preferred to have been able to get a cooked breakfast from 7am. I didn't use the Spa although I would have liked to have done. I couldn't see how to book a session or how much sessions were.
Facilities for an earlier cooked breakfast and something in my room to tell me about the Spa (opening times, costs and options. The hotel was very difficult to find, my satnav couldn't find it so I just had to use Wyboston lakes and annoy other road users aai crawled down the side road. Talking to one of the organisers (someone from the St Neots area) at the event I was attending, she didn't know that there was a hotel down by the lakes. She said she would let others know when they book other events at the venue.
Amazing hot shower with nice pressure.
Excellent breakfast with particularly good quality sausages, which you quite often don't get in hotels.
Super quick and easy check-in and checkout. No fuss at all.
If I'm being picky, I found the pillows to be really hard and chunky. This is of course a personal preference thing so not always a negative. Some people like thick, firm pillows (side sleepers maybe). But I personally prefer soft, slimmer pillows when I'm sleeping.
Clean comfortable
Clean easy check inn very polite staff comfy bed
Skips outside bedroom collected at 8 am
Staff were excellent, very accommodating re our late arrival, and excellent service also received from all of the staff in the Breakfast bar.
Noting
Nice clean room
Annoying that everyone at self check in needed help to check in and it was not clear how to check out or where to leave keys. Unless you are a frequent visitor, self check in is annoying and impersonal, especially because we were with two impatient toddlers.
There was no air con in the room which made it hotter than it was outside during the heatwave and the fan was insufficient.
Also annoying not to be able to access the pool as a hotel guest without booking a treatment (treatments were fully booked)
Loved the quick checking in
Mmm sorry it food was ooor in terms of quality!
Location was great. Hotel very clean. Spa facility was good but very crowded.
Room was unbearably hot even with all windows open and fan on. Two single beds pushed together with an uncomfortable deep crease in the middle. Staff at check in rude and unhelpful - just pointed at a machine and said use that. Said machine doesn’t then give you any clue as to where your room is or the general info re breakfast times etc.
Location
Good gym
Spa wasn’t working. Menu was just burgers and pizza
We eat in local town
easy to find and plenty of parking.
this hotel is all about being sustainable but it feels like greenwashing. there were no staff, the rooms are hot and stuff, and have dust and cobwebs on the walls, the staff are rude, they ran out of food at breakfast
