Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis - Edwardsville

Check in was quick and easy, I was recognized as a diamond member. Wifi would not work in the room. It would work at the elevator and in the hallway until you got to our room. A call to the front desk was sorry about that but it is working down here so I cannot help you.

Went to take a shower and there were no towels! Had to call front desk to get towels. In the morning i requested fresh towels and was told we will get them to you. Got back in the afternoon from our bike ride and went to shower but the towels were not replaced. Had to go to the front desk to get towels. Again complained about the wifi. Sometime during the evening it was finally fixed.

If house keeping is forgetting to put towels in the room after cleaning what other things are they short cutting?

Pool area is nasty filthy dirty with people having written their names in the scum line on the tile border in the pool.
At checkout I read the 100% satisfied guarantee. That is a joke and a great advertising campaign but it means nothing. I said I deserved 1 of my 2 nights free because of the issues and the clerk said, we are between managers right now and there is no one here to help with those issues.

Go elsewhere, this Hampton Inn like many of them is worn out and needs to be torn down and started over fresh.

Staff very welcoming we came in late because of the storm.

Very clean, quiet, somewhat remote location, lots of parking. Breakfast was the usual HI setup, also very clean. This location looks like it underwent a recent remodel, on a budget. The mattress in room 327 was not very comfortable, it was squeaky and just a value mattress. The shower head was high efficiency with the laser beam streams that don’t really good water pressure if you’re washing your hair or in a hurry. Additionally the stream is very wide taking up almost the entire shower so there’s no real way to reach over to shut off the water without wetting your hair. Overall a good, clean, safe place for the value.

We stayed at this hotel a year prior and it was wonderful, but this time around our experience was quite different. There were stains in the room including what appeared to be bloody finger print stain. We also found dried blood stains on the blanket and sheets. The pool room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable and not well maintained. There were stink bugs, wasps and hair floating around in the pool. In order to get extra towels I was asked to bring my dirty ones downstairs. We stayed 4 days and did not even have enough towels the first day to start with. The faucet was completely loose in the bathroom and there were also weird stains on the curtain in the bed room and bathroom door. When we moved the bedding on one of the beds a dirty tissue fell out.

The location was great, staff was polite.

This was the worst Hampton hotel I have ever stayed at. The bathroom was gross mold growing in the shower. The shower was so gross that we did not even feel comfortable taking a shower. Toilet was dirty, toilet paper holder not hanging on the wall. Drywall damage in the bathroom. Whoever is in charge of this place clearly does not care. Save your money and go to a different hotel.

Location was ok. Staff was ok. Breakfast wasn't the greatest.

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom fixture was extremely wobbly. Air conditioning was noisy. Just an average property. It was nothing special.
