A very uncomfortable stay!
Pros:

The only thing positive I really have to say about the location is the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt bad for them because I think they were trying to do their best at a location that is obviously failing to live up to the Marriott standards.

Cons:

There were numerous problems with the location. My first, and biggest complaint, is that there was prostitution activity occurring at the hotel. We were in town for a high school barbecue competition, and there were numerous high schoolers who traveled to Kansas City for this event. The prostitution activity was blatantly visible and made the stay very uncomfortable. In addition, the odor of marijuana could be smelled throughout the hotel. I understand that it is legal in Kansas City, but people who don’t smoke marijuana do not want to smell it in their hotel rooms. The breakfast had limited options and wasn’t of the greatest quality. Our room, although clean, was starting to wear out and needed to be updated. The bathtub was so worn that the enamel had come off and the bottom was starting to rust. There were also other maintenance issues with exterior doors at various parts of the facility.

Pros:

Breakfast was okay kind of dry location was nice.

Cons:

I didn’t like how the metal ac grate fell from the ceiling onto my head causing bleeding and I’m told I’m over reacting. I don’t like how the hotel did nothing to accommodate us due to said incident. I received an email stating it was being looked into but nothing since. I have taken legal action into my own hands
