Location, friendly staff and amenities.
Everything was superb! Excellent value for the area. We were in a town house suite the price was so reasonable and the room was huge and luxurious. We had two bathrooms which was perfect for our girls trip. The location is perfect. The breakfast was not your run of mill hotel breakfast, items were homemade and plentiful. The wine and cheese hour was amazing. The toiletry products were so lux.
We really enjoy meeting other guests at breakfast and the wine and cheese event in the afternoons. The beautiful room high above the rooftops has amazing views and is a cozy place to enjoy. This space is unique among local hotels. Also, the ladies who attend to guests at these morning and afternoon events are a delight. This inn is truly a gem.
The hotel is very nice and close to the French Quarter. The rooms are good and it has a decent breakfast but they nickel and dime you with the valet parking. The parking attendant was away when we showed up in the evening but the desk told us to leave the car out front and that they would park our car. There are parking meters "conveniently" located all around the hotel making it impossible to use them overnight and I was later told that the nearby parking garage charges $50 to park overnight. We only stayed one night so they retrieved our car in the morning and we left. Later, I received a charge on my credit card bill for $28.00 for the valet parking. I called and was told that they disclosed the valet charge on their website but you have to look long and hard to find it under their "Policies" page. I don't mind paying a fee for parking but I would like to be told about it when they take my car instead of slipping it on my bill after I have given them the car. I probably will look for another hotel the next time I am in Charleston.
Location - awesome, easy access to everything
People were friendly and attentive
The solarium, breakfasts, food - excellent.
Loved Miss Cynthia and Drew (valet) was terrific
Bathroom door
Hotel was perfectly located. Room was spacious and clean. Wine and cheese at 4:00 was a nice touch and breakfast was well done with several choices.
When we return for another visit we will request a room not on the first floor.
The location was great! Right in the middle of where we could walk everywhere. I will say I put over 23,000 steps on my Fitbit on the first full day. Breakfast was VERY good and our morning hostess was just the sweetest lady.
The room had a desk and very uncomfortable chair next to the bed. It's an older building, so the room wasn't huge, but I would have much preferred a small night stand and comfy chair in which to read or watch TV. I was also a little dissappointed that Booking.com didn't tell me that the room rate went up during the week, so what I thought was about $340/night went to over $500/night for Friday night. The total you gave me was accurate, but there should be more clarity in the per-night quoted rate.
Breakfast overlooking Charleston. Located in center of city. Walk to anything
