Beautiful hotel in a great location, but there is some room for improvement to fully match the luxury expectations.
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and has a lot of character. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the location is very convenient for exploring Zurich. The building itself is impressive and gives the hotel a special atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay.

Cons:

For a hotel in this category and price range, we expected a little more attention to detail and a more refined overall experience. Some aspects felt slightly dated and the stay didn’t quite reach the luxury level we had expected.

One of the better hotels we’ve stayed in…
Pros:

My wife and I have been traveling through Switzerland during this heat wave. We picked the Hotel Alden because of its air conditioning and it didn’t disappoint. The air con worked great even though it was 90-94 F every day we were in Zurich.
Couple that with a great staff who were friendly, courteous and helpful every time we had a question and the most comfortable beds ever, it was a a winning combination.
Also, near a park, public transport, and the Lake so that was an added bonus.
Look no further…stay here!

Il bagno spettacolare, idromassaggio top.
Pensavo più creme corpo...

Cons:

Letti normali molto comodi, divano-letto da rivedere...non all'altezza.
Colazione buona, ma non così ampia la scelta dei lievitati.
Aspettato più di 35 minuti due uova, con la sala vuota, ma camerieri molto gentili educati accoglienti e servizievoli senza diventare stucchevoli.

Exceptional staff, beautiful rooms and an unforgettable breakfast
Pros:

Our room was beautiful, very spacious and exceptionally clean, and the location close to the lake is fantastic. But what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally kind and welcoming, from Aris at reception, who took such wonderful care of us, to the hotel manager and everyone else we met.

It is also the little things that make a difference – being welcomed with a drink, always having water or an apple available, and simply feeling that nothing is ever a problem.

And the breakfast! Coming to this hotel and skipping breakfast would be a big mistake. The buffet itself is quite small, but everything is excellent, and then there is the à la carte menu – pancakes, Bircher muesli, porridge, different egg dishes, Eggs Benedict with salmon and much more. Freshly prepared smoothies, excellent hot chocolate, farm eggs and fresh fruit of your choice. Whatever we asked for, nothing was a problem.

The quality of the food and the way everything was prepared was honestly 10/10. One of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had.

A beautiful hotel, but it was the people, the attention to detail and that incredible breakfast that made our stay truly special.
