Location
We weren't informed that our booking was made to a room that doesn't belong to Hilton chain. During our short stay, a simple ask of refilling the shampoo and body soap was passed from one desk to.another to have this done. It wasn't much but is really annoying to chase these small things while supposedly came to relax..
The checking in process left us with more questions than answers, everything was communicated on a machine gun style, with no wiggle room to clarify questions, a small reception compared to the size of the building, many people crammed in, the entire process felt like joining the army and the marching orders are to get the wrist band, papers and go to the baracks and wait for the plutoon commander to show up and let us take a shower and a haircut.
I didn't really understand the "concierge" role, two bitter ladies promoting some Spa services and minigolf..something strange. Anyway these two ladies, with a war like frontline attitude, managed to remove any bud of enthusiasm we had before entered the building. I think I will be reluctant for a long time from now to any idea of Spa, remebering the slanted way to "sell" a relaxing massage package, without looking at you, tepegraphing words under the pressure of "someone else is waiting on line"..A totally weird and inappropriate experience.

Nothing
Location is central to restaurants and attractions. Comfortable accommodations.
Difficult check in. Told room would be ready at 4. Returned at 3:56. Rudely told it would be ready between 4-6.
Location
The bed was horrible, I didn’t get any sleep.
Cleaned
Great family trip with three separate suites (2BR) for a total of ten people. All rooms were clean and had updated furnishings. Elevators worked fine with very few long waits. Lazy River is small, but it did work the whole time and the grandkids enjoyed it. The "covered" pool is heated, which was a big plus most days. The other pools were a little chilly, which was refreshing in the heat of the afternoon.
This is a quieter location, which we enjoyed with the young grandkids. Free mini golf until 7 p.m. across the street at Lost Mine, which was fine for little kids. The beach is nice and wide at this spot. Grandkids are already asking if we can come back.
We have read reviews about old furnishings and dirty rooms. I did not experience any of that. HGVC owns a lot of the suites (Half?), and the rest are still under Anderson.
Great stay at Myrtle. I was scared by some poor review, but this place is excellent. The only downside is the parking garage a block away is difficult to get through because it is so tight making the turns going up the levels. I stayed on the 17th floor on the side. The view of the ocean was great. Excellent accomodations.
Staff and other personnel were attentive. Pools were nice.
We are HGV owners, and it was never disclosed that the unit was privately owned rather than HGV-managed. The room was not clean - dirty countertops, a grimy stovetop, and floors with sand, dust, and other debris throughout. This was far below the standard we expect.
Amazing hotel in the entire place. They’re valid very organized. Nice service clean room in the front of the ocean. Everything is amazing. Definitely recommended.
The room was really nice. It was personally owned so decorated really nice. The view from the balcony was amazing.
Loved everything will stay again.
Nothing
Hot tub, and Hot water in bathroom.
The resort didn't provide lounging, there wasn't any features for Nexflix/Subscription in Master bedroom Suite only in living room area, very small bar for a resort like the Anderson, sofa bed very thin, so thin we had to ask housekeeping for 3 extra blankets to Madera makeshift bedding on top of thin sofa mattress Definitely wasn't worth the money we spent for 3 days.
Staff were friendly
Dirty room, uncomfortable bed, room was heavily smoked in, we had no water for several hours,we received no room service, we never got any fresh towels in 5 days, incredibly unorganized and tiny loading and unloading area, almost no luggage racks.
The hotel was advertised as a Hilton but half is owned by a time share company that doesn’t maintain their rooms very well.
