The staff was fantastic. Thank you, Beth, for your helpfulness. When I requested a kettle replacement, Beth handled it promptly and efficiently.
The doors rang, which is somewhat annoying, and the people in the next room were talking loudly. I couldn't sleep that night.

Cheap hotel with great location for any events in Basingstoke
Bed was ridiculously soft causing rolling together , walls must be thin , heard every word from the next bedroom which kept me awake

Tired furniture in bedroom. Carpet in room not brilliant.
Bar had no atmosphere.
Location is great. Right at the top of town amongst the restaurants etc.
The bed in the first room had a mattress where the springs had either gone or were non existent. To be fair the receptionist changed our room straight away for us and the bed in the new room was fine. However in the new room the step into the bathroom had two razor sharp edges. The carpet had also not been hoovered in several places. Cleanliness is definitely an issue in this establishment. Also no bottled water in the room.
Breakfast was a farce to be honest. We were told that it ran from 8 until 10am. We arrived at 9.30am and there was hardly anything left. The poor lady in charge was really very sweet and tried to remedy what was a very poor situation. She arranged for some eggs to be cooked but it was too little too late. Overall not good at all.

Felt the bathroom in 38 was very tied, grout on floor tiles needs replacing. Lift was ok but a bit jerky

Although we had been warned that the area could be quite noisy we found our room to be lovely, peaceful and very comfortable.
All the staff were cheerful and helpful when we needed directions.
