A nice break on my way back East from the West country.
Pros:

The massage in the spa was sensational. The pool and spa facilities were a bit itred and no notice that the steam rookm wasn't working. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the lounger bar was nice. Very comfy bed.

Cons:

The spa was a bit shabby, with lots of broken tiles around the pool, and the sauma had seen better days.

It was a nice stay overall
Pros:

I like afternoon tea and tea room. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and good size.

Cons:

The jacuzzi/ hot bath tub was not clean. I don’t like self check in and long check in process

Cons:

Had to pay for the spa, only £5 each but the steam room wasn't working, very tiny gym with hardly anything in it, no keys for the lockers, only shower gel, no shampoo or body cream,
Jacuzzi was dirty at the bottom and pool edge needs a,clean

Really relaxing and enjoyable. If you go for the oak rooms be mindful very small in comparison to the other rooms.
Pros:

Location was good and very quiet.
Good spa facilities, jacuzzi is small I have to admit. Could squeeze 3/4 but that’s at a push.
Restaurant is good too 😋🤤

Cons:

They charge you to use the spa facilities (bummer!) thought that would be part of the price. Only £5 pp but it’s the principle.

Pros:

From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome by all staff. The room was lovely, clean, a good size, and with plenty of refreshment options. The bathroom was a good size, and the shower was powerful and plenty jot enough. We only had breakfast at the hotel, which had plenty of options for food and drink. Everything we had was delicious. The pool area was clean and spacious.

Cons:

I couldn't find fault throughout our stay. The pool was a little on the cold side, but we still enjoyed our swim

A lovely stay but need to work on plumbing to the bath
Pros:

We stayed in one of the suites and it was very generous size with a great bedroom, big lovely bathroom and sitting room area. Good value for money given the room size, decoration and facilities. Good breakfast too.

Cons:

There was a lovely big bath in the bedroom but unfortunately we could not use it as the water was not warm enough. It was very odd as the shower water was hot, but not in the bath. We had someone come and check it and agreed but could not explain the difference and didn't do anything to fix this or follow-up. We tried at different times of day but no difference. It was a shame not to be able to use a lovely feature of the room on a special celebratory weekend away with my husband.

Lovely location.
Pros:

Lovely location. Smelt divine in reception.

Cons:

No plugs by the bed which was annoying - a little thing that would’ve made a big difference.
We ordered room service which was missed. Twice. So after 2.5 hours we were given complimentary food and a bottle of wine. The gesture was much appreciated but would rather have eaten at 8pm instead of 10.30pm. Staff were very apologetic and we weren’t charged.

A lovely period building, welcoming staff
Pros:

A beautiful building, professional and welcoming staff, the decor in the lounge, the grounds, amazing breakfast and coffee, lovely view of the grounds from our bedroom windows

Cons:

Our rooms were advertised as having baths but neither had baths just showers. The hotel is very warm and the rooms extremely warm which made it a bit uncomfortable. The sofa bed is not comfortable and difficult to sleep on. The spa was not fully working and needs a good clean and update.
