The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

Our first stay at the Resort, it was great from start to finish. The staff at check in were nice, the Manager made nice arrangements for our stay, and the daily breakfast was very good quality. The room was spacious and clean, we felt like it was almost home. We will be back and keep up the great service!

The Westin Mammoth is a wonderful property. Walk to the gondola that takes you right to the slopes. Store your gear in their complimentary ski valet next to the gondola. Relax after skiing or riding in their hot tubs and pool. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Bruce at the front desk is the man! He took good care of us. At this hotel if you're fortunate to be in a well located room, you will certainly ly feel well rested, and even spiritually uplifted. with pool, fitness and skiing on tap, plenty exercise options. No idea re healthy eating.

We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Monache in Mammoth and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is excellent—right near the Village and incredibly convenient for skiing and exploring Mammoth.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything felt clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed, which made it easy to relax after a long day on the mountain.

One of the highlights for us was the valet ski service. It made the entire ski experience so effortless—being able to drop off and pick up our skis without hauling equipment around was such a luxury and added so much convenience to our stay.

We did run into a small issue with the kitchen, but Bruce at the front desk truly went above and beyond to make things right. His professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care for our experience really stood out. He turned what could have been an inconvenience into an example of exceptional customer service, and we greatly appreciated it.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely return. The combination of the excellent location, beautiful rooms, convenient ski services, and outstanding staff made this a memorable visit.

One small piece of feedback: it would be wonderful if there were a vegan option included with the Elite breakfast menu. Adding a plant-based choice would make the experience even better for guests with dietary preferences.

Great location and room. Al in particular helped ensure we were not charged for an early departure, due to my dad suffering an injury.

I felt so compelled this evening to write you this note about an extraordinary experience I just had with Bruce Thompson at the front desk.
As a loyal Marriott guest for more than twenty years, I’ve stayed countless nights across your properties, but the Westin Mammoth has always held a special place in my heart. It’s one of my absolute favorite destinations in the entire portfolio. This particular visit, however, carries even deeper meaning. It’s Angie’s birthday on the 17th, and Bijan is graduating from high school this year. This trip is a rare and precious chance to celebrate these milestones together, and we wanted it to be unforgettable.
From the very first moment Bruce answered the phone, his vibrant, enthusiastic energy lit up the entire conversation. He didn’t just help us. He genuinely celebrated with us. In a way that felt so rare and refreshing in our industry, Bruce managed to be completely personable and authentic while still carrying the highest level of corporate professionalism. He went above and beyond to secure a wonderful room upgrade and thoughtfully arranged a special amenity that greeted us upon arrival, turning what would have been a lovely stay into something truly exceptional and memorable.
What impressed me most of all, though, is Bruce’s unmistakable passion for what he does. You can hear it in his voice, see it in his attention to detail, and feel it in how much he clearly cares about making every guest’s experience extraordinary. He represents exactly the kind of young talent Marriott needs to carry the brand forward: intelligent, enthusiastic, and deeply committed. I have no doubt he is going to go very far with this company, and I’m excited to watch his career flourish.

Our top floor room afforded great views and privacy. Well appointed room. Bea and Bruce, on arrival, were fabulous at meeting our requests - very impressive. The location is unbeatable for skiing, close by rentals and the Village Gondolala😃
- it's minor, but the website promised afternoon hot chocolate but there was
none. This is insignificant given the pluses

The sleeper sofas are only good for children who weigh very little. The mattresses are in great need of replacing. Besides that Bruce at front desk was amazing

Checked in and had a luxe experience from start to finish. Got checked in by Al and he really showed superb service from start to finish, always making sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. Also, thank you Greg and Duncan for the shuttle rides to restaurant and boot stores!

With a lot of new places popping up, the Westin Monache in Mammoth continues to offer the most complete hospitality on the mountain with the gondola from The Village to Canyon Lodge, ski valet storage next to the gondola, shuttles to the airport and town, amenities like the always delicious White Bark restaurant and bar, a brand new snack & convenience shop, and the
complimentary Sip & Stretch yoga class provided for guests, is the perfect restorative touch to balance out an active stay. No matter the season it’s always a pleasure seeing the warm, dedicated staff each time we come back. Thanks Dawn, Kelly, Michelle, and Candy!

We were lucky to be allocated a top floor room affording fabulous views of the mountain, in a week of continuous sunshine. Bea and Bruce at front desk looked after us brilliantly on our arrival - and are such assets to the hotel. Our studio suite was well appointed and spacious, with regular upkeep. We would return to that room with regularity if that were possible. We were offered lifts to restaurants using the hotel shuttle, and underground parking is free to customers with easy access via elevators to all floors. All staff were friendly and empathetic. This is a great hotel

My family and I took a trip to Mammoth Lakes after visiting relatives in Southern California. We stayed at the Westin Monache—initially in an Airbnb unit, Room #207—and we loved how close the property was to the gondola and Canyon Lodge. For some reason, we weren't able to extend our stay in Room #207, so we went to the front desk to book a standard room (non-Airbnb), and Bruce, the front desk agent, handled everything with total efficiency! He arranged a new reservation for us instantly and ensured that our luggage was transferred properly and with great speed. Bruce is a true star; he really made our stay—which was already fantastic—feel even more special! We promise that we will be back to stay at this property again and again.

I’ve stayed at other hotels in mammoth and this by far is the nicest! My Family and I had an excellent trip to mammoth driving from LA. We spent 6 nights at the Westin and loved the location and accessibility to the ski gondola! The room felt a little dark ambiance wise with not a lot of light, but otherwise the room and stay was incredible. Bruce Gabe and Al at the Front desk were SOOO amazing and are genuinely sweet and kind humans. Greg the bellman who helped with our luggage at check in and valeted our car was awesome and knowledgeable! I think a gentleman named Jason helped us with bags and we left and it just the sweetest! This place is awesome and so convenient for snowboarding all day and close to village for night life. We will be coming back

solo ski trip in early March! Super warm, like 70 degrees ski in a t-shirt. Mammoth rocks!!!!!!! Big shoutout to staff at Westin especially Bea, Aron, Bruce, Thu they were all kind a welcoming and helpful

From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with exceptional hospitality. The front desk concierge took excellent care of me to ensure my stay was next level. Al went out of his way to accommodate me and solve all my inquiries and am very grateful! We love coming to this property due to close proximity to the gondola and the amenities provided, but the service makes our stay a memorable experience.
