TownePlace Suites Huntsville

This is the worst Marriott brand hotel I have ever stayed in!! Stay here only if you have zero standards. I checked out early because I found a brand new hotel suite nearby that also has a kitchen and that was cheaper and much nicer! This place is filthy and outdated! It should not be associated with the Marriott brand!! For reference I live out of state and stay at Marriotts 90% of the time when on vacay. I dont know where to start...There were mens underwear in the side drawer next to my bed and I called the front desk who reluctantly removed them. The bathroom pipes were causing a screeching sound every 5 minutes, the outdated tv had vertical lines going thru it. The internet wasnt working most of the time. The carpet was torn in several corners. The walls and bathroom doors were dirty. The desk table was missing 2 wheels and was lopsided and was propped under the desk to camouflage the fact that it was broken. There was a kitchen drawer nailed shut. The oven wouldnt fully close. None of the trashcans were lined and after speaking to a staff member about it, we were told they hadnt been able to get the supplies they needed. Some of the light bulbs werent working. The popcorn ceiling had been patched up and there had clearly been water damage. The hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. The furniture was beat up looking with the dining table scraped and scuffed and the couch sunken in. This place is horrific! It will make you leave feeling like you need to take a very good shower. Most of the staff were actually very nice. The new maintenance man was doing his best to try to help, however the new manager named Rod King was very rude. His bouncer Lisa was very defensive about this hole in the wall hotel and said he was in a meeting when we had asked to speak to him. Rod made it appear that she was lying when he said he was never in a meeting and that he was available. This place is worse than the lowest budget motel you can find but for 3 times the price. The photos online are deceiving! Do yourself a favor and stay at a nice place that is newly renovated, at a better price and where you can get a good nites rest!

Friendly people and really good environment!!

We were in town for a soccer tournament and this is the hotel we were assigned. Based on the reviews, my expectations weren't terribly high, however, it was overall a very good experience. The front desk staff were all very friendly and so helpful. Chrissy checked us in on Friday night. There was an error with our reservation, but she made sure everything was fixed. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and while furnishings weren't brand new, it was clean and just perfect for our trip. We also had our dogs with us and they gave us treats for them!

One word NASTY
Poop on the bathroom walls hair in the tub and crusty white stains on the couch…..

Terrible they are rude at first they was nice until my card got charged multiple times over and over the rooms need to be updated floors are black and carpet is dirty furniture is old and the place need some updated and new people to run this place.

Breakfast was okay.

The room was spacious and clean!

The room had torn carpet that was taped up. Curtains in the bedroom and living room were torn in multiple spots. Here was a hole is the bedroom door - they tried painting over.
