The male member of staff working the bar the night of our visit was rude
The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is steps from the train station and offers one of the best views of the picturesque harbour bay. While the charming Victorian building has been refurbished for modern comfort, guests still have to contend with uneven floors and a lack of central air. In lieu of a mini bar, rooms feature Nespresso coffee, specialty teas and filtered water, along with delicious Scottish treats from Quirky Chocolate and Island Bakery. Served in a spacious dining area, breakfast includes both small a la carte portions and the usual continental buffet, with pastries being the highlight. Although service was indifferent overall, the hotel provides an ideal location for island hopping and short hikes to breathtaking viewpoints.
Sehr zentrale Lage - direkt am Hafen und um die Ecke zur Bushaltestelle. Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang.
Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Can recommend the porridge.
High price but admittedly, it was first class, with a lovely room and gorgeous view!
I had a nice tv in the room and breakfast was good and enjoyable with a varied choice.
My very expensive room was awful - it was a very small L-shaped room under the eaves, poky and claustrophobic. I had no room to move about in it. The bathroom was extra small, short deep bath. I have a video of my accommodation for the two nights which I can forward to to you if you wish.
Front desk staff were average, bar staff were totally impersonal - with them there was no eye contact or effort to engage.
Location, comfortable bed, facilities in room. Friendly, efficient staff.
You’ve stopped serving black pudding at breakfast! No self respecting Scottish person eats haggis for breakfast. Why are you offering this foreign tourist bait?
This hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal. I booked the standard double with a sea view. The room was spacious with a bay window overlooking the harbor. It was also very quiet. Although the bathroom was small, there is a good amount of counter space. The water took a while to become hot. The breakfast buffet was not very extensive, but there is a menu from which to order hot dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Older property but nicely modernised rooms
Parking not the easiest even for offloading
Great food

Fantastic location-- steps from the train station and ferry port, and a short walk from restaurants, bars, shopping and the Oban Distillery. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. The toiletries provided were very nice. Breakfast was better than many other hotels I've visited. The reception staff was friendly and helpful.
Just wish we could have stayed longer!
Location and staff at reception were lovely and good excellent.
Best cappuccino.
Have stayed in this hotel previously as it is in a great location in the centre. The room was a great size overlooking the front with superb views, and breakfast was plentiful as usual both hot and cold.
Last orders in Lulu lounge at 10.30pm.....a bit sharp....meaning you are hurrying back if you don't leave a restaurant until 10.00pm!
We had a very nice stay at the Perle Oban Hotel. The room was lovely! It was a large room with high ceilings and it had a seat near the window, which I loved. The location was perfect across from the sea and near restaurants and shops. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious with many made to order choices and a bar with cereals, meats and rolls. The only disappointment was that I had a sea view room and pretty much saw only the top of trees (see picture below)! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
