breakfast was very good , the room was clean and spacious and came with a lovely sea view, we watched the ferries coming and going when we were in our room. (superior double with sea view) the hotel is in a central location, 2 minute walk for the train or ferry and close to the shops bars and restaurants.
Location and staff
Shabby the room had been nicely decorated however the hotel is old and as a result the architrave etc were shabby and aged
Location, sea view room, food, comfort
Location was very good as we travelled by train and station was adjacent
Food was very good but same menu for dinner each night
View from room was very good
Teas, coffees and cookies were nice touch
Room was advertised as "standard with sea view" but was very small and layout could have been improved.
Bathroom again was quite tight and not much space for toiletries
Dinner menu was attractive but unfortunately it was the same menu each night.
Everything was excellent.
Nothing
Location, breakfast,great comfy bed.
235 +10 pound to park, personally worth about 150 ish, including parking.
In the centre of everything we wanted and close to distillery
The rooms my friend stayed in were significantly different from mine. The lamp didn’t work and there was no mirror light and we all paid the same. Complained to front desk staff and nothing was done.
Stunning Room , Sea View, High quality, High Standard, Comfy bed, luxury bedding, brilliant large shower, dressing robes. Great Breakfast freshly cooked. I loved it.
Chosen for position and price.
Very small room, but was clean and we weren’t in it much.
The hotel is ideally situated overlooking the ferry port where there’s always something going on. Its facilities are good but the spa was very small, although spotlessly clean.
We had a fantastic dinner in the restaurant, which wasn’t too busy. The food and service were outstanding - nothing was too much trouble for our waitress.
The bar was quiet but had a good selection of ales and spirits.
Breakfast was excellent and again service was outstanding.
The hotel is an old building so can be a bit draughty around the windows. However, it looks like they have started modernisation work on the Main Street side of the building. It’s not too big a problem because the staff’s attitude more than makes up for any inconvenience.
Reasonable room
Shortage of staff.
