Absolutely Disgusting room, Don't book the Hotel Section

8 months ago we had a Studio Swim out, which was good, except for a dog being kept on the premises. This time we stayed in the Hotel section, which was absolutely disgusting, and NOT a quiet room as requested. Staying only 1 night out of the 2 booked. And when we complained to reception, they didn't care.

Well all I can say is “DISGUSTING”..
8 Months ago I posted a review, stating how Great this place was, staying in a Studio Swim Out room overnight.
So this time we booked, 2 nights in the Hotel Room. Worst discission we ever made.
First up our room was number 19. Now rooms 1 to 15 face the lagoon pool, whilst 16 to 32 face the service road and car park. Our so called patio was right next to the Service Road, so we heard every car entering the resort, which kept us awake. Even a large BUS, during the night, nothing like the pictures show online when booking.
Now the room, if you like sleeping on rock hard beds, then you will be fine, for us though, unable to sleep because the beds were so hard, was ridiculous. We opened the cutlery draw and it was filthy. The tiled floor was covered in stains. The shower had mold in it. The extractor fan I the bathroom made an awful sound to get it going. There was a small dead cockroach next to the kitchen sink. No body wash in the shower, just an empty bottle. The bathtub has all chips / gashes in it, and didn’t look clean. The sliding door lock was half missing, so if you wanted to break in, a simple screwdriver, would have given you accesses. At 530 to 6am you are nicely woken by the next units noise from the shower / pipes hissing away.
We decided that after 1 night we had, had enough and decided to check out, even though we had booked 2 nights. We spoke to the lady at reception, who took notes. We also showed her the photos, to which she said yuck.
There was No apology, No offer of a room change, No Nothing..
Will we be back, No. I will find another place to stay when visiting Salamander Bay.
DO NOT book Oaks Pacific Blue HOTEL rooms..

The staff , we also had the worst room in the hotel , it wasn't clean very outdated, broken air conditioning, tiny tv it wasn't a smart tv , just felt like we were being fobbed off and ignored by staff

good enough for 2days
Pros:

close to shopping centre and beaches,
swimming pool is awesome for kids

Cons:

We had booked two rooms, and one of them had to be changed due to a bug issue. Although the hotel moved us to another room, it seemed like the system was not properly updated, as different people entered our room four separate times.

One or two times could be considered a mistake, but the fact that it happened four times shows there was a serious issue on the hotel’s side. It made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

I’m honestly not sure if I would consider staying at this hotel again.
