Excellent as always
Lovely sea view
The room was outstanding and the sea view was fantastic day and night, we used the pool whice was nice and relaxing, but the staff were fantastic,
Nothing as it was a wonderful stay
good size room swimming pool warm
pathetic shower no power in it room furniture not good very dated and not clean not impressed that the bathroom radiator wasnt on. room and bathroom needed a good spring clean
Location and service
Internal decor is acceptable but exterior is tired , some fixtures and fittings broken or leaky
Good location
Plenty of room
We stayed on the top floor, amazing views.
Breakfast was exceptional with great variety, and the service was great. Bed and linen were very comfortable. The hotel location is one of the best in the UK with access to town, etc Even with the stays faults, we love staying here.
It is very tired, our room was lovely and spacious but had definitely seen better days. The TV being on a stand instead of the wall makes for interesting watching when being in bed. The bath tiles were covered in soap and hadn't had a deep clean for a while. The previous paint work that had been done in the room was a bit rushed. The cleanliness in the wellness area was questionable. It needs closing and to be deep cleaned before the summer season, at eye level from the pool especially. Changing rooms, covered in hair and shower, was filthy. This opinion was shared with a few people I came across during our stay. Out and about in the grounds, we came across dog poo on one of the paths, and a fair amount of the garden has just not been maintained. We understand it's March, but it all just looks very unloved and very tired. £10 a day to park during low season, I guess another way of making revenue.
Very big, everything ran like clockwork. All staff were excellent.
Friendly staff, free upgrade, clean, amazing breakfast.
Spa could have stayed open later for hotel guests.
Room was fab with an amazing view of the sea and the massive glass windows. Nice to sleep with curtains open.
Had the deluxe room so more space with a lovely bathroom.
Great breakfast with friendly staff
Enjoyed gym and jacuzzi
Great location to visit Paignton Zoo and the theatre where we saw a show :)
Minor things: not sure why we did not have any biscuits in the room when I saw them on the cleaner's trolley. Reception said they don't do them.
The mahogany furniture in the bedroom looked a bit dated
Very cvlean and peaceful
Pop music played over address system.
We have stayed before. And will again next year .
Toast brought to the breakfast table rather than use the toaster.
The sea view was fantastic paid extra for the room, husband 75th birthday
Family and friends came and booked lots of rooms to be with us
The bedrooms were very dated tired
The toilet seat was to small for the pan
Mattress was filthy the dust in rooms was thick the heating was turned off with a portable radiator for a big room
The plumbing was making a noise, at night every time you turned the tap on it spluttered out all the time
Because of the mattress we had to sleep on I have asked for a refund dealing with a manager at the moment he offered half my money back and I have asked for a total refund we was supposed to have a call today at 11.00am off the general manager who has not phoned me, my husband who is disabled is discussed over what we had slept on we did not check to remove bottom sheet as were in and out celebrating he pulled the bottom sheet away with him getting up on our last day and that’s how I saw the mattress and someone thought it okay to just put a sheet on it
it was all perfect and they couldn't help us more. From the food to the service was perfect.
