Character that makes you feel at home with a vancouver flair.
Pros:

Location was right beside the harbor and a 5 minute walk from major bus routes. The room had all the appliances needed for a comfortable stay.

Cons:

Appliances were old. Our microwave broke when we tried to use it. Also the shower head was like a jet stream.

Pros:

Location can’t be beat. I liked the double bedroom suite for my family if 5. Perfect with living room, kitchen, dining area.

It was in the older side but still clean and comfortable.

Nice funky old place, nice people, don't bring a car.
Pros:

I wanted to stay in the Chinatown neighborhood and they're right there

Cons:

Do Not drive here. They have no parking at all. I spent far too much of my time, and far too much money, trying to park my car.
This is a noisy old place with no amenities. You are paying a high premium to stay in a funky old building with character and a good pub.

I travelled for three weeks on the Island and this was my favorite lodging. I will definately come
Pros:

A lovely large room, with kitchen. Very spacious and clean. Comfortable king size bed. Downtown and close to shops and restaurants.

Cons:

I did not realize when booking that there is no parking at this hotel. You have to park in a parkade a couple of blocks away and pay. This was not too much of an issue for me as I returned my rental the next morning, but would have been pricier if parking several days in the parkade.

I really feel very sorry for this amazing location and property being wasting under this poor management.

Victoria in front desk. She is very professional and friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and honestly, I left feeling pretty disappointed.

The first impression is actually great , the location is really nice and the property itself is beautiful. You can tell it has a lot of potential. But unfortunately, everything else feels like it’s being neglected, and that really comes down to very poor management.

When I checked in, my room was not properly cleaned. There was a bad smell, dishes were still dirty, and there was even garbage left in the room. That’s something you really don’t expect anywhere, especially not at a place that looks like this from the outside. On top of that, there was no hot water at one point ( in the middle of winter) which is just unacceptable.

What made things worse was the lack of service and communication. During my entire stay, no one came to clean the room even once. Linens and towels were never changed. Every small thing required a phone call. Even something as simple as coffee filters became frustrating, each time I asked, they would bring only one (1). I politely asked if they could leave a few extra so I wouldn’t have to keep calling, I was told that hotel manager instructed them to give only one at a time to avoid “waste.” That really says a lot about priorities, and unfortunately, guest comfort doesn’t seem to be one of them.

I stayed calm throughout and just wanted to speak to the manager to share my experience in a constructive way. I asked the front desk multiple times, but I was always told the manager was not available, even though I was told she was on the property. Not finished yet, there was a construction going on in property and was very loud, top of that there was a huge party in the hotel room next to mine, continued all day and night, again party was not in the bar or event room, hotel manager allowed a party in a hotel room!

Then on my last day, the manager finally called me.

Great location though a little dated.
Pros:

The location was excellent though parking and driving in the area was a little problematic. Traffic detour because a bridge was closed and no right turn at the hotel caused me to be stuck in traffic for half an hour when I just wanted to go around the block.

Cons:

Unfortunately, both bedrooms were upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen.
