Oaks Queenstown Club Suites

Friendly welcome. Staff great. Our 2brm penthouse just perfect. Amazing views to lake and mountains. A very enjoyable stay. Disappointed we could not access the spa or restaurant due to the renovations.
The noise from the renovations was minimal.

Great spot...quiet and handy to have a free shuttle to and from the city centre. Lovely spacious apartment with nice views. Our family of four really enjoyed our stay, room had everything you could need.

Mixed reviews when looking into the Oaks club suites prior to our stay so we were not sure. The accomodation is out of the main town however a nightly shuttle is available (limited seats). You can walk (~ 25mins) but we were hesitate at night and it was very cold anyways. 3 bedroom lake view suite was perfect for us all (4 x adults and 2 x children). Plenty of space and the views were just amazing. Room was a bit dated and definitely needs some TLC. Main ensuite bathroom had very little airflow so had a consistent mouldy odour. But the views from the living room while sitting by the fireplace made this an overall winner for us and we would stay here again just for that!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was excellent. The views are absolutely amazing and the apartment is great. Love the gas fire, comfy couches and full kitchen.

All of the reception staff have been so friendly and helpful.

This place is going to shut down soon for a major renovation, which it needs. I'm sure it will be absolute top shelf after that.

We loved our stay at Oaks QT. We had a 2-bedroom apartment with the spa outside which was great to use after a day on the ski slopes. The staff were always so accommodating, adding extra shuttle buses to the services if booked out, helping with booking activities and general enquiries. We would definitely stay again!

This accommodation was perfect for our group, two bedrooms with an ensuite each, very spacious and clean with incredible lake and mountain views. We arrived after 10pm and it had been snowing all day, our fire in the living room was on and electric blankets were also turned on so we were very warm.
We walked into town a few times - the walk along the lake is so beautiful. Its on the bus route and a quick taxi or uber ride to town.
Highly recommended for the layout, location, views and friendly service.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Oaks. Staff was really friendly and housekeeping did a great job. The view of the lake and mountains was spectacular. Something out of a painting, I couldn't believe my eyes. Check-in and check-out were smooth. Staff checked us in early despite us reaching 2 hours before actual time. Thank you for making our stay memorable. One tip, take the lift down to level 1 for the Lake View. Trust me you won't regret it !

The view and the spa was amazing, but the inside was a disappointment. Inside felt, dated, dirty and cheap. The fabric on the couch and dining tables were cracked and uncomfortable to sit on. The blankets had another persons hair on it, and the overall wear and tear of the place was shocking. Considering this was booked via “Luxury Escapes”, the expectation was high. There are a lot of things that I could highlight as negative but I feel as if they are obviously identifiable within the room itself.

Super mediocre hotel. The photos do not look the same as what I got. Misrepresented and very disappointed. Was promised a lake view. Got a view of the stairs instead. The carpark is also super steep. If I had known that they would give me a room without a Lakeview I would not have booked here.

The photo of the room I booked was nothing like the room I was provided. It was dark and the fixtures / decor where not of the same room. The supervisor, realising this, provided me with a refund and I stayed at a different hotel. So thank you to the supervisor for doing that for me

Great location and overall facilities we good. Thought that it maybe time to upgrade some of the technology (TV's) as they are old and no Air Con maybe an issue in the summer.
But in winter its perfect , Gas Fires are great and views are excellent too. Staff were great at the front office. Very helpful. relaxing 20 minute walk into town .

This is our second stay with Oaks Club in this location, and whilst the proximity to town, the staff and the physical size of the apartments are all good; these rooms are VERY tired now. Appliances weren’t able to clean/do their jobs properly as they are either old or badly in need of service. Carpets are stained, torn and worn and baseboards are damaged. Power sockets by the bed are on the floor and so unable to take a large charger, and neither are they suitable for disabled people to access. Multiple kitchen items were rusty/missing parts/outright missing altogether. Lots of bulbs were missing or out in the room (mostly the kitchen) and just really the entire place is looking very tired. For the price you pay… you can undoubtedly find much nicer. I think either a reduction in prices is required, or a refurb. We saw other rooms here during our stay and they were very much the same, so it’s not like we got a ‘bad room’ or anything and it isn’t anything staff can do anything about. It’s all down to property management.

The property itself is nice and comfortable, staff are really nice and helpful, and the rooms are huge. We were expecting to thoroughly enjoy our stay here. The heating in the rooms is excellent and the views out to the lake are great too. Being a 20-25 minute walk into Queenstown is also very convenient especially given the traffic in town now.

However, not directly the fault of the property but we were kept up all night by a drunk returning guest. She entered the property and first knocked on our door a dozen times, until I finally got up and told her she had entered the wrong room. She then went to another room and began knocking and yelling at that room - for an hour. I went to find her but could find where she it was coming from. She knocked and screamed - for another hour. I went downstairs and found the room where the knocking was coming from. She was already inside the door of one room, but was unable to get into some second door (from what I could decipher from her yelling). All I could do was try to tell her through the door that she was disturbing the entire building (as I could hear her through the floor and walls).

Overall A) the sound proofing of the building is not sufficient, B) we choose this property thinking it would a quiet choice as it is outside of the main center (we were wrong), and C) there is no security or staff in the night time to deal with these situations. Access to the property also does not require any access key so anyone could have entered the property and behaved exactly the same way.

Beautiful views

Staff were very helpful and the views were fantastic. Great position.

Was very quiet as we were close to the road. Blackout rooms meant we could sleep forever. Fire place and spa was a treat after along day skiing. Would love to go back asap.

A sad example of worn out Queenstown. This maze of a building has seen better times and this reflect across everything.
Be prepared to lose your children (which sometimes is a blessing).
I'd stay somewhere else for the amount charged.

Our favourite accomodation on our 10 days in New Zealand. There was a little mix up with keys but staff quickly fixed issue. Room was very clean, spacious, beautiful views of the lake and the fire and heating was wonderful. Daily servicing of room was excellent and staff lovely. Will recommend the 2 bedroom lake view to friends and family.

The view was great but the toliet seat was broken and slid around the cuboards did not stay open and they lifed upwards the shower head did not stay in place jept dalling downwards
The drive way is tricky and very steep which is a bit scary in the ice and snow
On the plus the room was spacious we were in a 2 bedtoom apartment but for the cost would not stay again
