Balcony and views of the garden and surrounding hills
The shower is in the bath
I loved that the breakfast section was halaalz
Wish there were more halaal options for lunch and supper . Other than that , no complaints
Breakfast was lovely
Cost was higher than the actual experience
Reception was not very helpful, the curtains in the room had a big tear in it, the water from the pool stained my costume, there was no buffet meal the evening, it was my husband 60th birthday and it was very disappointing.
Breakfast was ok, basic hotel breakfast. I have been frequenting this property for over 20 years now and it needs a serious upgrade. Service has been declining over the years along with the facilities which are extremely outdated. The Decor is stuck in the early 2000's. Room furniture are in a poor condition, worn sofas, damaged headboards, broken curtains. No gowns available as was previously available to use. There was no soap holder in the shower (I stayed in room 139) The hot pools are a distance away from the hotel and the walk especially in autumn and winter is not pleasant. No information was provided prior to arrival that they no longer have the toweling gowns available. We previously paid a deposit and were able to use it for the duration of our stay. Had I known I would have brought my own. The lighting to the pool is terrible at night and a serious safety risk, not to mention the slippery floors around the pool. On one occasion I witnessed 5 people slip on the paved area outside the pool within a period of less than an hour.
Rooms need to be upgraded, damaged and worn furniture needs replacing. Pool lighting in rooms. Mineral pool facilities needs to be upgraded and lighting at night is a serious safety risk. Make the toweling gowns available for use at the Mineral pools. It is really such an inconvenience and makes the experience unpleasant when you freeze trying to get to the Mineral pools and again back to your room. The main purpose of our stay was to make use of the hot mineral pools and the absence of gowns and the poor lighting really put a damper on our plans
Nice setting, great breakfast, tasty food at the 2 restaurants, friendly staff, unique hot pools.
Booked a ground floor room but had to walk a flight of stairs down to it.
Room is not sound proof - children running in the corridors unchecked was very noisy.
Long walk to the hot pools, with many stairs and no side entry to the hotel so one must trudge through the foyer after bathing.
Dressing areas at pools are poor.
Too many visitors in hot-pool area, difficult to find a spot in a pool.
There should be better info and pics on the website.
We enjoyed the breakfast and the hot spring pools
The room bathrooms need to be upgraded. The shower and water temperatures needs to be sorted. It was either too or too cold. It could not be adjusted to a comfortable temperature. We also don't like shower curtains
The restaurants also need better tasting food and offer vegan, halaal or kosher options. The smell of the restaurants was not good.
Nothing
R2500 per night, no Netflix and tv visual quality was very poor. They say they do room service till a certain time but they lie. We had a bath/shower but no bath curtain so everything got wet so you had to bath. Room card kept deactivating. Not worth the price
The use of the Caledon Spa until 11pm.
The beautiful garden area.
The friendly manager.
Breakfast at rush hour around 9-10am was a bit too busy and noisy for us. Not enough tables. But was sorted out quickly.
Bed with extra large pillows that was very soft and the duvet was nice and warm
Staff were great
They booked my room as per my request
Easy location with nice drive to get to
It's very expensive
Not much to do if alone I couldn't view pools as you must pay to get in
My towel had a tear in it not what u expect for a hotel
Only 1 restaurant first night other was closed
