Charming inn in a prime location! It’s right off the main downtown street, near shopping, dining, and coffee shops. Quick walk to the water front. It felt safe and the neighborhood was beautiful. The inn does have two buildings. We were in the building next to the main one in photos. Breakfast and reception are only on the main building but they share a parking lot and your key gets you into both buildings, so not a problem!
Location and cleanliness. It was nice to have on-site parking.
Packaged breakfast items. Size of room for the price
The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic! The room was nice and the location was perfect! Would definitely plan another visit and stay at this inn.
Very New England-ie room/setting. Very clean, quaint, quiet, and perfect for our overnight stay. Would highly recommend! Front desk staff super friendly and welcoming. Outstanding location in the center of Newburyport. On-site parking a plus!
Outstanding staff. Great accommodations. Terrific location. Warmly welcomed with very generous hospitality! We have stayed here multiple times and would not think of staying anywhere else when visiting this area.
Cleanness, location, friendly staff, and the way the room looks (looks like new)
I didn’t like the pillows
Le lit était trop mou.
Cute historic inn in a bed and breakfast Furnishings and decor lovely.
Hard beds and ok breakfast. I thought breakfast would be a traditional bed and breakfast instead it was self serve. Parking was tough.
We had a two-level suite. The downstairs might have had enough room to add a twin air mattress when the pull-out sofa was extended but it turned out for our group, two were able to sleep comfortably in the full pull-out sofa. The gas fireplace is a cozy feature. There is a toilet and sink in the downstairs bathroom. There is a small kitchen counter space with a sink, Keurig, microwave and an under-counter frig.
There is a turning stairway from the first floor to the upstairs sleeping area which had a king bed with clean white sheets and comforter. There is no door at the top of the stairs going into the room. The sleeping area is open to the stairway. The upstairs room has a desk, tv, dresser, nightstands, alarm clock, phone. The upstairs also has a separate bathroom (w/a door) containing a stall shower, toilet and sink.
The inn’s breakfast is 7:30-10:30 am. Offerings include Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, juices, coffees, teas, muffins, yogurts, fruit, cereal, milk, oatmeal, bagels - - really nice choices. Around noon or early afternoon a large heated soup pot was put on what had been the breakfast area. The day we tried the soup it was very good chicken noodle soup, similar to a Panera quality soup. Individually wrapped large cookies were available. And the coffee and tea section was available too.
The food and drink offerings added substantial value, comfort and convenience to our stay and were nice perks.
Sheets, towels, blankets and comforter were clean and in good condition. The only thing I would replace would be the shower curtain. The full bath had a hair dryer. Small dark gray hand towels were provided which is nice for preventing makeup on white towels.
The staff was welcoming and helpful. The location is great. The parking lot was a little tight but luckily drivers were careful and we had no issues. Starting at 8 am street parking is limited to two hours so if parking on the street right in front, need to move by 10 am. One night when the inn lot was full we parked at a farther bank public lot because the closer bank lot had rolling lockable gates and I didn’t want to chance being locked in.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the inn. The two-level suite with its living space, fireplace and mini kitchen is a very spacious, comfortable option that was great for a weekend and could be put to fuller, more leisurely use by a travelers able to stay longer.
Our room on the second floor was almost perfect. The location walking distance from down town, and the friendly staff, made our stay there almost perfect. I was born in the South end and it is great to visit there from time to time.
Like the behind the building parking lot.
A lot of stairs
