Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal/Il Lugano

The room was clean, very spacious, we did not utilize the pool this trip. The convenience of laundry option and a safe in the the room, great after hour food recommendation from the kind and welcoming front desk staff, down to the courtesy call when my package was deliver! I rate our experience “20” out of 10!!! GREAT place to stay!

Several things in the room were not working, including coffee maker, microwave and ceiling fan. Handle on the patio door was falling off, we fixed it as good as we could to make do. Breakfast was the same every day for the 5 days we stayed there, sausage was the only meat choice.

Very nice, up-to-date facility. Plenty of room, and the bathroom was large and accomodating. The hot breakfast was much appreciated.

The hot water was finicky so my husband and I both took cold showers several times and there were dogs in the dining room two days in a row at the breakfast buffet (one that was continuously barking).
And I don’t know if it is the layout of the hotel or if we just had extremely rude neighbors but it was very loud. Doors always slamming and people congregating in the halls talking loudly. We could also hear the people in the room next to us talking loudly. There was an undesirable spot on our bedding but fortunately there was a washing machine in the room (one of the few good points) so I washed it myself. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Clean room/ friendly staff /family friendly

The hotel is great when traveling with kids. The rooms are like a mini apartment with a full kitchen and even washer and dryer. The kitchen has all the utensils. The complimentary breakfast is quite extensive with hot and cold food, yougurts, cereals, waffles, pancakes, bread, scramble and hard boiled eggs, breakfast roasted potatoes, patties and sausages, fruits, juice, milk, coffe , among other things. The location is privileged within walking distance to the beach, Walgreens, a grocery store, a gas station if you are in need of any supplies. Also very nice restaurants are a a few steps away from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating

Very nice breakfast buffet included with stay and convenient location, but the hotel is due for an upgrade especially the room bathroom which has an outdated bathtub instead of contemporary showers.

Very nice hotel in a great location on the intracoastal waterway. The balconies make it a very enjoyable view.

We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn for five nights at the end of August and really enjoyed our time. The location is very convenient and accessible to all parts of Fort Lauderdale, with plenty of restaurants nearby for both dining in or quick takeout.

The hotel offers a great breakfast with lots of choices, and the in-room laundry plus kitchenette made it especially comfortable for a family stay. Our room had a beautiful west-facing view of the Intracoastal Waterway, which was lovely both in the morning and afternoon.

The atmosphere felt more like home than a busy hotel, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The only downside is valet-only parking at $40 per night, but aside from that, everything was excellent.

Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Fort Lauderdale!
