Pros:

It was close to the airport. As a bonus, it was quiet, the staff was fantastic and had good parking. The wifi was great and the view of the river was awesome.

Cons:

It was a little smaller than expected, but worth the tradeoff for being quiet.

Great stay to begin or end your stay in Belize.
Pros:

Quiet location on the Belize River. I stayed here for the last three days of my four weeks in Belize. Howler monkeys, pool, great on site restaurant that accommodated my vegetarian / no gluten diet. Thank you to all staff especially the reception staff and to Jay in the restaurant. It was convenient to visit both Lamanai and Cave tubing. This is a great, close to the airport, hotel. .I am so pleased my trip to Belize included stays beyond the beaches. Thank you Black Orchid Resort for a lovely, quiet and convenient place to complete my stay in Belize.

Nice place
Pros:

Great place to stay if you’re arriving in the evening & easy to get to, but it was so nice to wake up in the morning to monkeys, and be surrounded by nature. Right on the river nice place with a pool and a restaurant, takes all the stress away. Our room was a Riverview room and it was very large. We had plenty of space.

Pros:

Property is beautiful and the rooms had air conditioning. The restaurant was nice and the staff was great.

Cons:

Like a lot in central America it is a little rough around the edges at times, but overall it still worked well.
