Disappointed
Pros:

Room needed maintenance with items in poor repair in bathroom. Unglued door stopper, cracked stained tissue box. Shower over bath with limited movement and shower spray head that got all over floor. Appreciated that windows open for fresh air.

Pool now isn’t heated and spa pool has been closed. The shower was tiny and flooded the bathroom when on . Odd layout . We have stayed here 5 times , this one was ok . Just some money saving things evident

Comfy, boutique and full of colour
Pros:

A really artsy, funky space which felt boutique especially the bar and welcome area. Rooms were huge with bold and colorful decor.

Cons:

Only complaint was shower was a bit tight.

Stay somewhere else if you can
Pros:

The staff were helpful and attentive, greeting us warmly and checking in on our needs.

Cons:

The property was certainly very tired looking and in need of a refurbishment. The bathroom certainly needed improvement, as the shower over the bathtub looked like something straight out of the 1980s, and it was not possible to take a shower without getting the entire bathroom floor wet because there was no shower curtain and the divider that was meant to function as a screen was grossly ineffective. The toilet roll holder which was fixed on the bathtub made no sense as it meant that the roll would be completely wet through if anyone were to take a shower without remembering to remove the toilet roll (and really, who would?) There was insufficient space for toiletries and overall with 2 occupants it was difficult to function without getting each others’ toiletries wet Also, the hotel restaurant is ill equipped to serve customers at dinner. We waited at least 10-15 minutes before we were able to get someone to take our order. The food was not up to expectations as well.

Comfortable, clean and spacious in a good location.
Pros:

The bed was so lovely and comfortable, we slept through an earthquake. The rooms are large and spacious and the hotel is very funky and fun.

Cons:

I can see a lot of effort has been put into the hotel and the rooms it’s a great vibe, I just wish they would upgrade the bathrooms as they’re tired in comparison to the hotel as a whole. Definitely NOT bad, I’d still 100% recommend this hotel.
