It was okay.
Pros:

Your fitness room reeks of mold. My daughter who needed to train for track on a treadmill was not able to do so.

Cons:

Smell in your fitness room.

Not to my standards. Please hire new cleaning staff!
Pros:

Close to the interstate 77. I chose this location as a midway point for my drive home.

Cons:

It wasn’t clean compared to other places I’ve stayed. There were a few hairs throughout the bathroom and dirt/dust on the dresser/tv stand. I took pictures to show the front desk associate. I believe they are either under staffed with their cleaning staff and need to turn over rooms quickly with less attention to detail or the cleaning staff just simply doesn’t do a proper cleaning because they could care less and are there to collect a paycheck for minimal effort. I usually spend at minimum of $200 per night on an overnight stay to avoid rooms like this. It didn’t meet my expectations of having a clean room and made me wonder what else was not clean. So I slept in my clothes and threw a towel over the pillow as I was too tired to deal with the front desk after driving for 10 hours. This was a one bedroom suite. Hopefully they do better in the future with their cleaning staff. The included breakfast was about average to most places.

Excellent
Pros:

The pull out couch mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It was very thin, worn and I could feel the coils. The check in process was quick and friendly. Everyone I spoke with was kind and helpful! Great staff!! Lots of breakfast options and the food was good.

Solid place to stay, well worth the $
Pros:

Breakfast was solid, not overly great, definitely above average. The room was very nice, the staff was very nice to engage with. Location has plenty of options for good food/drinks nearby.

Cons:

The pool was freezing, maybe because it is indoors and the air temp was mid-90's. Even too cold for my 9 yr old son.

Best hotel in the Lake Norman area
Pros:

This is a fantastic hotel. Modern, great staff at reception, clean and well maintained. The suites are nicely furnished and well equipped. We've been staying in the Lake Norman area on the way to and from Florida for 20 years, trying multiple hotels in Cornelius, Huntersville and Ststesville. None of them come close to the Homewood Suites. This will be our go to hotel.

Great Stopping Point on the way further South
Pros:

We stopped here on our way further South …and it was very convenient. Lots of parking, and checking in and out was very good. They have a large area for breakfast which was included … We had a chance to go to downtown Davidson which was very charming and has some unique shops. Overall great place to stop on the way to your southern destination!

Clean, Convenient but pricey
Pros:

Fine stay- nothing really great, nothing really negative. The room was clean and the property is close to the Davidson college campus. Breakfast was ok. Parking is convenient. I felt in general the rate was a little pricey. Overall it was a fine stay and I didn’t have any complaints.
