Disappointed by Ongoing Construction
We stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience due to major construction throughout the property. While I do recall a notice about the pool and hot tub being unavailable, I was not aware that such extensive renovations were happening across most of the hotel.
The front desk was temporarily relocated down the hall, and the main entrance was covered with plastic and paper, with some areas lacking flooring altogether. Doors were left propped open, and the environment was dusty with an unpleasant smell throughout common areas.
Breakfast was reduced to a grab-and-go option (which I didn’t bother to check out), or we were told we could walk to another hotel across the parking lot. On the plus side, the staff member at check-in was very kind and apologetic, which we appreciated.
Our room itself was clean and the A/C worked well, though the room had not yet been updated. The TV was very small and across the room from the bed. For a longer stay, we definitely would have looked elsewhere. Considering the condition of the hotel, we were surprised the rates hadn’t been adjusted to reflect the limited amenities and disruption. For comparison, we stayed at the Embassy Suites in Fort Worth the next night for a similar rate and received a full cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception.
The hotel was under construction. The elevators smelled like gas going up and going down. We had to hold our nose so as to not breathe in the gas. The air in our room was dusty. Every time the Air conditioning went on, we could almost taste the dust. We tried to get a partial refund, but because we went thru Expedia, a 3rd party, no refund or partial refund could be extended. There was a pageant in town, and most of the hotels were already booked.
building should hqve been closed during renovation.
Property is under serious construction—lobby literally has chunks of plaster that you have to walk over—I am happy that they want to improve their property but people staying need know ahead of time.
Due to renovations you had to go next door for a hot breakfast.
I did not get the room or services shown to me on Expedia that I had chosen. The hotel was being renovated; the swimming pool contained algae; television did not work properly. The dining was being renovated so I was told to walk across the street to the Holiday Inn to get my full breakfast. Management said they could not refund my money since I went through Expedia. The front desk employees were excellent and tried to help with anything I needed.
We were unable to stay at the hotel due to a hotel issue. They were super great about calling and giving us some options. Would definitely try to stay here again.
Not informed on expedia that it was completely unacceptable to be in. Clerk not in building came from hotel next door. Please provide me a way to share facility pictures of mold, construction debris, scratched up doors, no breakfast in building (offered at new hotel across parking lots some roomlights not working, tv tiny and too far away. Tried to reach expedia through virtual link but ignored.
Clean room and quiet.
toliet stopped up second night. was fixed the next morning. sink did not drain well. electrical sockets in bathroom did not work. otherwise good.
we had a really experience with this hotel and slept very well, surprisingly well. When we reached the hotel, staff at reception was very good about giving us a check out of 12:30. The room was comfortable, the bed was great. Two very minor things about the room: 1) it was spacious. The space was great but it also means that the TV seemed to be very far from the bed...and there wasn't anywhere else to sit and watch more closely. The other thing is that there wasn't shower gel in the bathroom. Yes, there was soap, but this seemed a little odd. Fortunately, we had our own with us.

Average. Pool was closed, front desk said they didn’t know why. No real complaints, it was a place to sleep while passing through. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.
The property was outdated and did not smell great. It was clean. They do not offer free wifi and I did not have power in any outlets in the bathroom.

I had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the customer service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to address any concerns. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. There was a strong, unpleasant odor that made my stay uncomfortable. Even more concerning was the presence of mold which raised serious health concerns. While the staff's professionalism was appreciated, the cleanliness and condition of the room left much to be desired. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues for future guests.
When will I heed the advice from these reviews. This Hampton is like no other. First room, no AC and the TV was out.
Second room, 2 doubles and not a king as requested.

The hotel smells like an old abandoned house. The elevator smelled worse.
When you're in the elevator, it sounds like a trickling brook running down the walls. Why, I do not know.
