Hotel Cuna Del Angel

The hotel is really safe and the staff is welcoming and its always there to help and recommend you places to eat or visit.
I went there with my teenager daughter and we both felt really safe

It’s very rare for me to write a not good recommendation but unfortunately this is the situation.
I will start with the good things first:

This is a beautiful hotel. The swimming pool is amazing and their lobby is so welcoming, we enjoyed sitting and just reading there.
The lady during the check-in was very kind and helpful with a wonderful welcoming attitude.

But and there is a big but I will not recommend this hotel:

First of all it’s right next to the highway.. we stayed in room F and the noise was intolerable during all night.

We had 2 problems that the staff didn’t know how to handle:

1. We had a huge spider or crab inside our A/C. We called the front desk and then the technician that tried to find it but didn’t manage to do so and we had lots of noises during the whole night.

2. Around 23:00 the smoke detector started to make noises. We called the reception and no one answered. After 5 minutes we went there and found only the guard who didn’t know what to do (and didn’t understand a single word in English). He tried to call the hotel team and when he reached them after 10 extra minutes he just kept asking if we smoke in the room or if we used the hairdryer.. (we’re not smokers and off course we didn’t use the hairdryer). Finally the smoke detector stopped by itself.

This situations can happen sometimes, the main problem was the way they handle it or didn’t handle it

This is not the quality of service that we use to get and especially not in hotel like this, for us it was a real disappointment 😢

My family really enjoyed our stay! The property is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful! The food in the restaurant is excellent but a bit overpriced. We would definitely stay there again!!

Oh my goodness! This was an amazing property with an amazing staff! It was the perfect place to stay for me and my kids on our adventures. We will definitely be back

We liked the hotel overall. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was limited but really good. The pool is perfect. Regarding the hotel’s location it’s both good and bad. Good because it’s easy to get to Uvita but bad because of the noise coming from the highway.

This hotel is very attractive. We had an upstairs room over looking the small pool. It was clean, with nice bed linen et. Air con functioned ok. We did have a problem with the shower, & did mention it, but it wasn’t sorted out during our 3 night stay, maybe we didn’t stress the problem enough. It was functional but had a loose connection, so could easily flood the bathroom!!
That being said, we enjoyed all the food & drinks we had. And the service was very good, & professional. Some of the staff have good local knowledge which was very useful.
The pool & gardens are nice, but are small, so at times it was a bit crowded. You can hear the road from the pool area, but we weren’t disturbed in our room

AC was not working, so the facilites personel needed to fix it

In the middle of green vegetation it has lot of potential but I guess now it is nice new ideas, very quiet and it has a relating atmosphere

Beautiful hotel with friendly accommodating staff. The best part is the restaurant is 100% gluten free so my celiac husband was able to eat everything off the menu. We also got massages that were amazing and much needed after a week of adventure travel. Small relaxing pool right outside our room. We just stayed for 1 night but I would recommend 2 nights to enjoy the laid back k area.

Friendly staff but hardware is a bit outdated

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Cuna del Angel, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

First and foremost, the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, always with a warm smile and a genuine eagerness to assist. Their attention to detail and professionalism truly set this place apart.

The food was another highlight of my stay. Thanks to Andrés, Julie, Monica and Bernardo.

We stayed on a travel day between two destinations. This is a nice hotel with good service, a great restaurant, interesting decor and clean, comforable beds. The rooms are nicely decorated except they could have used a bit more light. The grounds are pretty.

If you want to relax but at the same time be near to the beach this is your place, clean, safe for kids, very good restaurant and service

The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful with what my kids needed. My son was not feeling well and they were able to get the food he needed. The property needs some changes like doors still using key based systems (it was way too old and hard to operate), bathroom tiles, fixture etc were quite old.
