The property was very clean and the staff was exceptionally kind. The beds were very comfortable.
Low water pressure in the shower, but this is typical for hotels. The breakfast wasn’t the best that we’ve ever had, but it was certainly very good and met our needs.
Little things add up to the point that Hampton Inns (HI) are no longer on out ‘A’ list.
Although not the worst HI, this HI also did not meet our expectations.
The facility and room was clean, it’s in in a nice area, and our room was quiet unlike the couple who had a barking dog problem. The a/c was a little loud but it wasn’t doing death throes like some rooms we’ve been in so that wasn’t an issue
However:
We wondered why there was a printer sitting all by itself in the breakfast area. We found out when we asked where the business center computer was. The printer is the business center! You are supposed to use your cell phone for whatever it is you need and then use the printer. I’m sorry but a cell phone is a very poor substitute for an actual computer. Printing via your cell phone and the ‘business center’ is the first QR code situation.
In the room you will find a placard with a QR code to do your housekeeping tips. Sorry I don’t pay ANYTHING with my cell phone. The hotel guest directory is another QR code.
There is a guest laundry with one washer and dryer for the entire building. The washer has been broken for a while waiting for parts. The staff pointed that there is a local laundromat in the area but that doesn’t work well when the plan was to do laundry while packing the rest of your stuff in the room.
There was no stopper in the sink so if you need a pool of water for shaving or whatever you’re out of luck. If you drop anything smaller than the 1 ½ inch drain it’s gone!
Same thing for the bathtub.
Housekeeping is every few days like during COVID but they at least come into the room.
There’s no room safe although my wife noticed a sign about boxes at the desk.
Breakfast was edible but somewhat blah to us. We’ve had better at competitor's hotels. Then there was the bacon bandit (not HI’s fault). He ate nothing but bacon. He’d fill up a bowl after picking through the tray, walk around eating it and then get another bowl and start all over. He did that several times.
All in all this seems to be Hilton’s version of shrinkflation.
Verkehrstechnisch gute Lage
Perfecto el trato
Location to USSSA Space Coast Complex and restaurants.
Older property that could use a revamp. A lot of elderly customers who were constantly complaining about kids. Kids couldn’t sneeze without a noise complaint.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
The hotel ran down a little bit, and needed reno.
We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was a king bed that was very comfortable. The room was of good size with a nice sized bathroom. The room itself was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. At check in the gentleman was very polite, very friendly and professional. The breakfast was very good, a bigger selection than most hotels we have stayed at. The lady who took care of the breakfast area kept it stocked quite well and kept it very clean.
The hotel is located about a block off I 95 for convenience, but you really don't notice any noise from the interstate. Restaurants, grocery stores and shopping area are all within a mile or two.
We will be back.
The location was great. And the staff was very, very nice.
This place is extremely rundown and if it wasn’t so late at night when I got there, I would not have stayed at all. The carpets in the main area and in the hallways and in the rooms are the filthiest and most horrible rugs I’ve ever seen. Bleach, stains everywhere huge black oil stains, and because the carpet is so badly maintained and so old, the entire place smells like feet. When I got inside the room, it smelled like a combination of wet dog, pet urine, and cigarette smoke. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a Hampton Inn that is in need of so much routine maintenance and repair.
The air conditioner needed to be fixed in the room other wise the stay was very nice
the Hotel had a problem with the air conditioning very hot in the dining area as well
Everything was fine s
Staff was extremely helpful
I liked the location
It was not the same it is under new management
