Food way too small portions amd very overpriced
Amazing gardens! Kids had a lot of fun running around and being busy outside.
The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are small. There is no air conditioning. We had two small kids in a family room and had to use two fans the whole entire time when it’s even 5 degrees outside. It’s not normal that a room could be that hot without any heaters on. The rooms closets was broken, handles were off, the sink was leaking, remote control back was missing which exposed the batteries, which are dangerous for little kids. No handsoap, but a shampoo bottle at the sink to wash your hands and the curtain came loose. Would not recommend going back.
I also went to the bar area and tried ordering food. I asked for a pepperoni pizza and had to wait a long time. Again, I was with my two young kids who were hungry, I wanted something else so I went back to the bar, I stood there probably 20-25 minutes waiting, while trying to tend to my kids. The bartender kept taking other people first, while I was the whole time waiting. Once he finally asked what else I wanted, I asked him if he at least put in the order for the pizza. He said he didn’t had time. I was less than amused by that answer. I was literally the whole time next to the register…
Dinner menu and adaptability to allergies
Lovely country location with good pub next door (Wooton Hatch)
The breakfast was awful! It’s buffet style hot food but none of the items we had were even warm. The toast took an age to do and there was a queue as it was so slow. Just need to replace industrial toasted with a few regular toasted and the problem would be fixed.
The room was so lovely the bed was so comfy best night sleep i have had for a night away. Only issue was a lot of water damage to the wall by the window. But nothing can change due to the age of the building. But we loved the room and the facilities the spa was so needed. A lovely break that was needed thank you.
Waiting for evening staff at the bar amd the restaurant, the team left us standing at the entrance for quite a while. Seemed that it was very busy due to the wedding and less staff for the hotel. There was some wording on the menu for the pork that wasn't very well explained for my partner. But the food was beautiful and delicious.
Lieu d'exception ! Le cadre, l'accueil, la qualité du petit-déjeuner, de la literie ... Les jardins sont très agréables, et l’environnement général magique ! Très belle décoration ...
Rien !
The property is a grand old building with some updating and renovation's currently in place its old fashioned quirky and sure may overseas visitors would enjoy how it presents itself, rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet was similar to most big hotels so all was okay
So things that were not great - the pool area is very dated and in a bit of dis repair in places especially in the steam room with wall repairs required - The area its's dark and needs re-lighting in my opinion - there was some confusion with the pre payment as was asked to put £50 on a card and this would cover anything I had during my stay but when I came to check out the next morning I was asked to pay for breakfast as was not included on the booking, and I said that I was advised by the lady on reception last night this would come out of the £50 but I was advised not by the morning receptionist and said the £50 would come back into my account in a few days - This was something I normally just like to pay for things as and when I have them.
Staff very good. Fantastic building and surroundings. Gym/pool great.
Breakfast was average. Coffee machines were not working for periods of time and drink quality was poor. Pastries dry and unappealing. Fried food was good, other than scrambled egg, which I think was made from powder.
Room was very warm. Pillows made you hot.
rooms, price, had tennis court and pool/sauna/steam room
Food was tasty
presentation of main course
Everything was perfect. Made my mums 60th birthday truly special.
Nothing
Magnifieke oprijlaan
Veel saaiheid overal ook in kamer en eetzaal niet leuk met bediening die niet ok was
Beautiful property and grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms lovely, restaurant food great in evening and for breakfast.
The rooms were far too warm, even with a Dyson fan provided.
The staff were all wonderful. And that definitely includes the cleaners!
A floor plan would have helped.
Beautiful hotel, knock-out location for a sunny drink at the end of the day. Very well looked after and clean.
Nothing we didn’t like.
