Excellent location

Love the older historic hotel with proximity to everything and a wonderful staff

We loved our week at San Luca Palace Hotel and we cannot thank the staff enough for their help and assistance with any small request. We felt so welcome and hope to return at some stage. Special thanks to the breakfast team and their wonderful coffee!!!

A lovely place to stay. Comfortable bed and pillows, great showers and a delicious breakfast. Front desk support friendly and helpful.

Clean, quiet, relaxed & comfortable. Great staff. Good variety at breakfast. Terrific location! Ride the bikes!

Really friendly and helpful. Went in night before to say we were checking in next day.
Barbara really nice and said would store luggage on arrival, the room was actually available and given to us at 10.30 am on arrival
Only had one night as had been staying in another hotel in Lucca.
Room was quiet, clean and had everything you needed.
Breakfast was good
Stored luggage until our departure later in day.

First impression was it had a musty smell in the foyer but room was not as bad. Checkin was rushed. Staff were not accomodating or friendly and not helpful at all in fact could be rude, especially a staff member at the bar. Room was very spacious. Cleaning was rushed, beds not done and floor was always dirty. Location was good just within the walls and easy to get around. Breakfast was excellent. For the price you pay would expect better staff who are happy to share information of their city.

Older, but very well maintained hotel in a very old city. Has European charm, with hardwood floors. The beds aren’t particularly comfortable (very stiff). Bicycles are available from the hotel free of charge and is a wonderful way to sightsee the city day or night. I would recommend this hotel if you are with car, but make sure you reserve parking space before arrival.

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, good parking

Great historical hotel with spacious rooms and nice furnishings/design. The concierge was lovely and the breakfast was spectacular. I got a great deal on a large room and would definitely stay there again when I’m in Lucca. I also liked the outdoor patio where you can people walk and just relax. Close to the city center and about a 17 minute walk from the train station. Shoutout to Leonardo at the front desk who was a gem.

A modest older hotel in a great location and at a good price.

The San Luca Palace is an older period property within the walls of Lucca. In some places it looks a little tired, but is clean and comfortable. I liked the location, and it was very easy to walk from here into the walled town - the town is very picturesque with lots of dining options. The bed was absolutely huge - I think it was 2 doubles together. Our room had an alcove with a small settee, and was comfortable.

Overall an excellent hotel well located with reserved parking in police car park next door hotel reception even moved my car at some point after an emergency

The AC in my room was not working but they provided a fan and I was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, good, free Internet connection and great bathroom.

For what was supposed to be a 4 star hotel, it was very disappointing. The first morning when we went to have a shower the water was cold. We contacted reception and they said they would have to check that it was switched on. The internet was problematic. Every time we got back to the room and tried to access the internet we had to go through the login process again. The breakfast offering was good with a large range to choose from but sadly, if you weren't there in the first hour, it was not replenished and as a result the offer became quite small. We stayed in a hotel in Viareggio which ticked every box. This one did not.

A lovely place just inside the city walls. Could do with a refresh of the decor, but otherwise, it is hard to complain about this well managed hotel!

Enjoyed our stay here- good location for walking and exploring the town. Very close to entrance of wall walking path. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Great hotel with large rooms and very comfortable. It is very walkable and also it is easy for taxis / shuttles to get to since it is not too far into the pedestrian area (still within the old city and very close to lots of shopping and restaurants).
