The people was very nice and helpful

Breakfast was great. The rooms were nice with heated towels & floor. Nice ocean view. The owners just need to add the dining hours to the website for people getting in late or leaving early.

What lovely hosts who accommodated our 5am arrival and gave us an undisturbed later check out. This made a huge difference having a delay in our arrival and a long flight. The accommodations were clean, quiet and very comfortable. Thank you

When we arrived a gentleman that wasnt working on reception but was behind desk seemed to be a handy man,well he was very rude to be honest wasnt a very nice welcome

We just wanted to get away for two days in Kerry. I went onto trivago and put in the white sands, ballyheigue which sent me to hotels.com. The rate was ok but there was a button on the page that asked you to register for a cheaper rate which I did. When I came out of that page I ended up on the Portmarnock White Sands without realising it. The rate was cheaper so I booked it straight away only realising my error when I got the confirmation email. To make a long story short we were not able to cancel the booking without losing €161. We said we would go and make the best of it. That night I read some reviews and I was a little worried going to Portmarnock. I need not have worried. The room was gorgeous with a bay window looking onto the Irish sea. Tea and coffee facilities were great as you get Barry's tea in a Dublin hotel. We were given complimentary white slippers and bottled water. The tv was a bit grainy but it has a system I was familiar with and was able to watch movies in high definition as the TV is linked into the hotel internet. The bathroom was modern, maybe an extra bit of shampoo would be nice. Staff were friendly and we had a dinner and a breakfast in the hotel, both which were nice. The beach across the road is fantastic and goes for miles for anyone interested in a long walk. As I write the review my mind goes back to the bay window looking out onto the Irish sea as I sip on a nice cup of Barry's tea. We will be going back there.

Hotel was clean, staff very friendly and in a beautiful location

the staff were really friendly but the room was tired with stains on the bed frame and carpet, our room was over looked by the carpark and was really warm. the mattress was so uncomfortable.
