The location is great. The cleaning staff and the woman for breakfast were amazing and friendly. The receptionist in the morning was very polite and friendly. The night wasn't as friendly.
We arrived to a clogged toilet. We were given a plunger to fix it ourselves. When my son went to take a shower the shower was broken(would only stay on bath). We were given a different room, and the shower worked(ish). The shower leaked slightly but this room we were able to stay in for the night. The pool was cold, but it was a very nice set up.
This property was clean and well maintained.
Nothing! There is limited parking in the immediate front of the hotel, however, this did not affect our stay at all!
I am frequent business traveler. You ever walk into a business and immediately feel like you’re the inconvenience? That was the vibe from the second I tried to check in here. I literally had to stand there and wait while the front desk staff finished their personal conversation before acknowledging me—like I was interrupting their day.
It didn’t get better from there.
The room:
The second I opened the door, there was a weird, unpleasant smell—like stale air mixed with something I couldn’t even identify. I always carry me own air fresher.
The shower head had visible mold on it. Disgusting.
The TV was stuck on one channel, so unless you enjoy watching static nonsense for hours, good luck. I gave up.
The air/heat system looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the early 2000s. I actually cleaned it myself because I didn’t want to breathe in whatever was living in there.
The bed:
If you’ve ever wondered what sleeping on plywood feels like, this is the place to find out. Absolutely zero comfort. I woke up feeling like I fell down a staircase.
Continental breakfast:
Let me put it nicely: yuck. I wouldn’t serve that to someone I didn’t like. Stale, bland, and barely edible.
I stayed at SpringHill Suites Albany-Colonie for one night on a Saturday while in town for business. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but restful or professional.
At check-in, I noticed a welcome sign in the lobby for a “gaming” group. The breakfast area was already filled with attendees socializing and playing games, which initially didn’t concern me. However, by around 8:00 p.m., the lobby was packed — easily over 100 people — with a live band playing. The noise level was significant but settled down around 9:00 p.m. when the crowd moved upstairs.
That’s when the real disruption began.
From approximately 9:00 p.m. until nearly 2:00 a.m., the second and third floors were essentially one large party. Loud yelling, shouting, cackling women and repeated screaming carried throughout the hallways from multiple rooms. I’m 99% sure this was some sort of “Tickle Fetish” group, based purely on the noises I was hearing through the thin walls of this particular SpringHill Suites. Whatever event was being held, it was clearly not contained to designated spaces and made it impossible to relax or sleep. For a hotel that caters to business travelers and families, this was completely inappropriate.
Even more concerning was the apparent lack of staff presence. After 10:00 p.m., the front desk area was dark and unattended. There was no visible effort to manage the noise or enforce basic guest courtesy.
In the morning, I raised the issue with the front desk. The response was simply an offer of additional reward points. While I appreciate the gesture, it did not address the core issue — the hotel allowed a disruptive overnight event that severely impacted other paying guests.
I will not be staying here again and would caution business travelers or anyone expecting a quiet evening to think twice before booking, especially on a weekend.
I went with the kids to use the pool from one day to another and pool was not working at the time
The property was quiet and in a close proximity to various stores.

Le confort et la propreté
La piscine, vraiment très petite et très chlorée

The pool was closed
Location
We were traveling with 4 children and were told the pool was not working. Friday at check in, the front desk attendant told us the pool would be fixed Saturday and would then be open Saturday. The pool was not open and we were then told it hasn’t been open for months because the “levels are off.” I would like a phone call to discuss this.
