Very nice place

Everything was adequate but sadly our expectations were higher based on the price for a midweek stay

Food on first night not wonderful.

All good

Room was adequate, couple of fixtures and fittings coming loose (toilet roll holder)

Spa was lovely

Overall the stay was disappointing. For the price we paid for a Stable King for one night, we were definitely overcharged. The room was extremely basic and small. One of the windows didn't close from the inside so my husband had to go outside and push it closed from there. When we woke up in the morning they were dripping in condensation. There were zero nice touches in the room.
The only thing that saved the day was the restaurant on site. The food was excellent.
Overall the service was good, however, we were sat in the bar having a late afternoon drink and we overheard a manager almost shouting at one of the restaurant staff because he had allowed a couple to book a table at 9:30. Apparently that was wrong but for her to berate him in front of hotel guests was disgusting behaviour.
I'm afraid we won't be returning.

I did not have time to swim as I was attending a two days Conference.
The room I was staying in looked tired and requires an upgrade but before leaving Donna was kind enough to show me other rooms including the 3 rooms in the Manor House. I liked the executive suites and that will be my choice at my next visit.
All the staff were professional and pulled out all the stops to make my stay comfortable.

Despite having a reservation for dinner in Harry's Bar, we were shunted off into the cafeteria/restaurant used for breakfast - no bar for pre dinner cocktail or post dinner coffee. So we might as well have booked into a Premier Inn.
Breakfast was good and room was nice.Staff friendly, but really disappointed about closure of Harry's bar for use for a private function.

We have stayed here a few times for work while we have been on a project within the area. It was lovely to be upgraded, would have been nice for my business partner to have had his room upgraded to. Perfect stay as always.

Great location, and very friendly staff. However, there were a few things that werent ideal, such as: cobwes in the room, half cleaning/tidying thr room - having waited all day for the room to be cleaned, hallway/ corridor filled with dirty sheets and towels from about 8am to 6pm.

Stayed here quite a few times and it never disappoints. Fantastic facilities and great prices.

This is a beautiful setting. Unfortunately my motorcycle was knocked over in the car park by another guest after I had gone to bed. This caused considerable damage. The hotel staff were rather nonchalant and didn’t offer any CCTV footage. Although the reception staff offered apologies, I got the feeling that they were embarrassed about the whole thing and just wanted me to go away. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. However there was a really noisy wedding reception going on at the same time.

Lights kept fusing out then back on after 10mins... Had a shower in the dark 3 times
Bathroom was dirty.
Tried to. Phone reception no answer a number of times.
Buffet Breakfast was cold every morning
