Not worth the money, newer better places around. Do your research.
Pros:

Great location!

Cons:

Quite a bit… the first staff member we talked too argued with my girlfriend. Woke up at 2-3 am and our whole room smelled like a septic system… had to leave the hotel at 5 am because we were getting sick from the smell.

Surprise Option
Pros:

We were looking for a rental for a family vacation by the beach and by accident found out Ashworth has a two bedroom rental cottage, directly behind the main hotel. It is older, but is clean with a full kitchen, full bathroom, 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed and a pull out sofa in the living area. It puts you a few hundred yards from the beach and allows access to the hotels indoor pool. All the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. Great location to walk to shops, arcade, food, drinks, concerts and fireworks. It is a second floor unit with only stairs to access.

Great location but not worth the money
Pros:

Location is great

Cons:

Ridiculous pricing. Charged $75 for “very early check-in” it was an hour early, I asked if check in was available and was told yes, was never told it would be $75. I would have waited. Got charged $50 for parking but I didn’t even have a car to park.

The idea I had to pay for parking my car in ur lot. No chair in room. Bathroom door did not shut all the way.

We are looking forward to coming back again next year
Pros:

The staff was courteous and friendly, the two restaurants that we ate at were excellent, I liked the fact that we could use the bicycles for no extra fee

Great location and valet service
Pros:

The location is excellent, right by the ocean . The valet parking is really good. Their service is excellent.

Cons:

To be honest, the price was much higher than other places. Yes the room is lovely but not double the price lovely, even with the valet service.

Our rooms were not ready. We waited almost an hour. The lobby was small, congested and had an off odour like a poor ventilated bathroom

Pros:

The hotel location was great, the staff was helpful and friendly (especially the overnight guy at the desk). It was a beautiful room and the view was great.

Cons:

Our balcony had the back end of the neighboring rooms ac on it. It was so loud we couldn't even hear the waves crashing on the shore. It even kept us up most of the night.

Ideal location, great place to stay
Pros:

Everything at The Ashworth was excellent. From the check in process, restaurants, bar, housekeeping, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal. We would definitely come back.

It was nice to stay across from the beach but we were disappointed with some services.
Pros:

The breakfast at the Wharfside Cafe was excellent. We enjoyed eating there. We enjoyed the balcony from our oceanfront room and the location to the beach was very convenient.

Cons:

We didn't like that people were smoking on the balconies. We prefer hotels with no smoking. We were disappointed that the Breakers restaurant wasn't open. We enjoyed eating dinner there last summer , and it was one reason why we wanted to stay at the hotel. There were not enough valet attendants especially at checkout time. The wait time was very long.

Two night visit in July with teens
Pros:

Very attractive room and large bathroom. Updated. Across from beach. Only restaurant I saw that was open was rooftop bar. Valet guys were super helpful and accommodated us extra hours after checkout. Front desk staff weren't overly friendly. Room was delayed by 60 min without any offer to compensate (check in 3pm and room wasn't ready til 4pm).
