Everything about this resort was beautiful! I am so happy we decided to book this wonderful place! it has truly been a remarkable experience! We can't wait to return!
I like the view and easy to fish
Enjoyed the resort including the restaurant on site. The 1 bedroom cottage was really well maintained and comfortable with a kitchenette. Nice place.
Great i will be back there again.the staff was very helpfull a friendly
We spent two nights at this resort in southern Eleuthera. We wanted to visit Lighthouse Beach, the most beautiful beach we have ever seen! The drive there is really challenging and you will need a 4wd to go on the small dirt road! Its totally secluded, go visit it before its too late, Disney Cruises had bought the property and will build a cruise port there. :( The small villas on the resort were clean and had everything you need. Nice, laid back restaurant too on site.
We also went on a half day boat tour to visit Schooner Cays, beautiful small island. We were picked up from the resort, perfect!
We definetely recommed this resort if you like boating, fishing or beautiful beaches.
About the local area, you have to know that you want to be in a place with lots of amenities, but far away from other life. Eleuthera is a long, skinny island with a small population. Everything you need to have a restful vacation is here, but you are isolated. We loved it!
Stayed in cottage...very nice.Internet was spotty in cottage.
Restaurant was good, large portions.Property well maintained.Beach is nice.People helpful, friendly. They arranged a tour of Lighthouse Point.
The property is very well kept and all appliances are new, but our bungalow was not even equipped with a stove. Being ~30 miles from the closest groceries shop, this is a bit of a problem, if you don't want to eat every single meal at the (pricey) restaurant onsite.
The location is really quiet and nice, good snorkeling opportunities, however we couldn't help but feel that we should have gotten more bang for our buck.
We stayed in the new cottages while picking our son up from The Island School. They are very comfortable and loved the decor. Very convenient to bring our son over and let him show us around the area. Enjoyed the beaches, floating the cut and restaurant.
Water views are everywhere. Lots to do and all of it is easily accessible from the marina. Boating, biking, scuba, or just hang out on the beach or by the pool. Perfect to get away from it all and enjoy total tranquility!
Remote, relaxed, nice hospitality. We would definitely recommend staying in a villa. The view from the balcony is delightful as you overlook the marina. A lovely way to greet the morning. The water is incredibly clear and the dock master is always on hand to help. They have a little store and a dive shop which offers different kind of water sports. The local people are friendly, cheerful and happy to give directions to drivers. Roads can be challenging, and you must remember to keep on the left! Good, casual restaurant with delicious, fresh caught fish. Great place to view the sunset. Fresh salt air, Fresh fish and beautiful sunsets. Makings of a great, peaceful vacation.
It was a very pleasant experience the staff was nice the combinations were good the pool was clean the hotel was beautiful the doctor that was wonderful and I enjoyed myself very much
We had a wonderful time at this resort. The beach is nice and the swimming and snorkeling was great. Only
One restaurant but the food was great and prices very
reasonable. Bring your own breakfast. We recommend this resort to everybody.
Disappointed. Booked for five nights but moved out next morning. The place leaves an impression of being unfinished and deserted. This is the tip of the island and the drive from ELH airport is two hours. Beach is nearby, but stony. Restaurant is so-so. And open for lunch and dinner only. Except Mondays. Closed Mondays. So where are you gonna get your breakfasts? The views and beach have nothing on other hotels. Also there was no hot water the night we stayed there. Considering the price there is absolutely no reason to come here.
Great resort and marina area surrounded by
Beautiful unspoiled nature. What a get-away from hustle and bustle
only comment is limited menu, opening hours and supply in restaurant Pascals but this is privately operated and not by resort
Also wish the lobby store had some fresh produce
We had a great stay
The hotel is really nice. The town homes that you get are spacious and well designed. It's actually perfect for family or group vacations/retreats as there is plenty of room. Since it is so secluded, it is better to buy your groceries and cook dinner as all kitchen necessities are there. At the hotel the coffee shop is your only choice and is pretty expensive for what its worth.
Definitely do the fishing expedition with the hotel fishing guide - it's totally worth it. It was our first time fishing and we both caught over 20 fish together! It was def. the highlight of our trip! Also, get the snorkeling equipment from the Outfitters and go snorkeling! The water is so clear. You don't even have to go too deep to see the fish and coral underneath; the waters are truly beautiful. The rock formations near the 4th hole beach are out of this world. You must go by them. Great for pictures and exploring.
The lighthouse beach is a must see - you finally see the pink sand that everyone's talking about there. Go early enough so you can make the most out of the experience. It's good to have an SUV for that since its a pretty difficult drive to the beach. We did it in a crappy little toyota car but it would have been easier and faster on a SUV. Also, if you have a rented car, definitely drive out and explore the island. The Island School next door is nice; Coco Plums for its conch salad and Sammy's restaurants are great! The locals are friendly and wave to you every time :)
First of all, I did enjoy my stay at Eleuthera very much! It is the perfect island for a getaway and the beaches are incredible! The local people are very nice and helpful. However, it seems that all the unfriendly people work at the Eleuthera Yacht Resort.
When we checked in into our room one curtain was broken, the light in my room didn´t work and we had ants in our ice cooler. I won´t say anything about the kitchen stuff (pans, pots, etc.) because it isn´t worth it. We asked the staff to fix the curtain and light right after we discovered them on the very same day, and they said they would fix it. But they didn´t. They had 6 days time (althoug they said they would fix it on the next day).
And the food at their so-called "restaurant" is a joke, especially for the prices they charge. The highlight was the pizza, which, according to the menu, was to be prepared from their chef with fresh ingredients. The pizza was clearly a frozen pizza, and not even finished. It tasted like they threw it into the microwave for 2 minutes and then served it. But at least they charged 16$ for it.
I can definetely recommend a stay at Eleuthera, but stay at another hotel.
