Sehr aufmerksamer Service, hohe Flexibilität bei Sonderwünschen, extrem freundlicher Empfang, die Rezeption immer hilfsbereit und proaktiv, wenn Fragen zu Ausflugszielen, Bus- oder Taxiverbindungen gestellt wurden.
Das Restaurant hat eine kleine, aber überzeugende Karte, zudem einen guten Blick auf den Segelhafen. Die Zubereitung des Sous vide-Lammgerichts war sensationell!
Es war mein zweiter Aufenthalt im Hotel, ich werde auch ein drittes Mal wiederkommen.

Hotel is under renovation, this should be communicated at time of booking as the main entrance on Oriental Bay wasn't available and the room I stayed in wasn't anywhere near the standard of the Oriental Bay facing rooms. I have no issue with hotels needing to renovate, but potential guests should have that knowledge so they can make an educated decision.

Room was very cold and damp hidden far away. Stayed before had no problem but felt a little uncomfortable being so isolated as a female on her own.
Restaurant was great and the beef wellington there was probably one of the nicest foods we have ever tasted!! Good location, very friendly staff who helped us with our parking situation, very comfortable bed and room was spacious
everything, our room was stunning and it was great for a girls night away :) Breakfast was the best.

Although a bit long in the tooth, and a quirky layout I loved this ‘on the hill’ hotel. Access is by car up a steep street, or by lift from the marina area. Location and views are brilliant though. You will not be disappointed staying here.
There was some development work being carried out, but this didn’t distract too much from the overall experience.
Hotel is in a good location but the parking is complicated. The reception area is situated on a second floor accessible by an elevator if you are coming from the main street. My fish and chips was not good and we had to deal with flies during the dinner time.

It was ok - it had a view - it is really well located - parking at the back was fine though 15$ a night on top of the premium rate I paid
Rooms though are dated - wooden painted frames and metal window frames is 1970s not 2020s

Very handy to the city centre

we stay at copthorn when staying in the city. So close to everything. We recently attended ub40 and it was a very enjoyable stay....x
That i wasnt that hungry and went to have breke there only to have 5 coffees and one small breadplate of food....lol

Convenient location but hotel tired and in much need of a refurb. Despite booking months in advance we were allocated a ‘superior’ room which seemed to be a last resort close only to staff quarters. No air conditioning simply a mobile fan which was thick with dust. The balcony where we were invited to enjoy a drink from the mini bar (their words not mine - which incidentally only included a small carton of milk) was a bit of a stretch - see photo. Really disappointing having stayed at other Copthorne hotels in NZ. On a positive note - Michael in the restaurant couldn’t be more helpful and is a credit to the Copthorne company.
