The staff and property were amazing. Super courteous and upstanding hotel. Food at restaurant was amazing.
I stayed with a roommate at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa from Jan 7, 2026 to Jan 8, 2026 as part of a Road Scholar tour program. It was the most luxurious of the three hotels in the program. Photos shown include our room 317.
The room included two queen beds, a reasonably large desk, a door to an adjoining room, two religious literature (a Gideons' Holy Bible, and The Book of Mormon) in the nightstand, ample closet space, and "high-tech" light switches that required some head-scratching to use them. The bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower stall. I used the latter. The bed pillows were fluffier than those of Hyatt Place Atlanta/Buckhead, so I needed just one to sleep on. I had to contact front desk and maintenance staff for a "Do Not Disturb" sign as the room did not have one. Sadly, it did not prevent room service from entering the room the next day to make the beds and re-fluff the pillows. My sleep was not impacted but my impression of the overall service was.
On the first night, our group went to a private room for dinner. We walked from one end (where our rooms were) to the other end of the hotel. Food was catered in-house as evidence by the serving staff in their hotel uniforms. On both mornings, we had breakfast at The House. It was buffet style with plenty of choices and plentiful in volume. Since we had coupons, we didn't have to pay a cent. However, I didn't give my coupon to the waiters both times and still ate for free. But I sat with my fellow group members so it wasn't an issue. For second day's dinner, I ordered mozzarella sticks to go from The House. It was pricier than I would like, but it kept me fed.
There was only one laundry room and it was located on the second floor. It was free of charge but access to the room required the room key. I did my laundry on the morning of the second day. Did not have any issues with the washer or the dryer. It was nice of the hotel to provide a small lounging area just outside the laundry room where I waited until my laundry's done. The laundry room had two microwaves. Don't ask me why they were there. I'd have put them where the vending machines and the ice machines are.
I did not try the spa. There wasn't sufficient time and the high price tag was enough reason not to. Nor did I patronize the performing arts venue adjoining the hotel. But there were plenty of lounging areas throughout the first and second floors. The one that I used for a private Zoom meeting was on the second floor, and had plenty of distance away from foot traffic for a reasonable expectation of privacy.
If it was entirely up to me, I would not choose the Renaissance. It's out of my price range and I can easily find less expensive choices nearby. However, the stay was mostly pleasant especially when covered by the tour program. If you're willing to pay the price, it's worth it.
Location was great! We were there for a baseball game. The room was so clean and nice!! Would definitely stay again! Staff were super helpful. Everyone I ran into that worked there was very pleasant!
There was mold and mildew in the shower. Toilet was too low.
i came to the spa and Rod helped me and was very nice
My mom and I came for a little spa date and we couldn't find it in this massive hotel. We asked DeAondre for assistance and without any hesitation he walked us to the spa as he was headed to the garage. Thank you DeAondre.
DeAondre is truly truly the BEST! We came to Renaissance to eat breakfast which was amazing by the way and he immediately greeted us as we walked in and guided us to the Restaurant and even gave us a few things to check out before we head back home. Such a sweet gentleman.
We had the pleasure of being assisted by DeAondre and he was AWESOME! My mom isn’t very tech savvy and to watch him be extremely patient and helpful was truly amazing. Valet was very busy and they were great and efficient. Thank you DeAondre!!
Impressive lobby with service to match.
Comfortable rooms.
Great location for exploring Montgomery.
Great experience at the Renaissance in Montgomery, especially upon arrival. Rod at valet helped significantly, making sure that my luggage made it all the way up to my room was incredibly polite and professional.
Fativa at the front desk was absolutely amazing! She displayed great customer service and it felt genuine and not fake!!!! I super appreciate the entire staff and I will be booking another trip to the Renaissance!
I had an outstanding experience with the valet team at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. They greeted me right away, handled my vehicle with care, and made the entire arrival process smooth and stress-free.
What really stood out was their attention to customer service. The valet attendants were courteous, quick to assist, and genuinely welcoming. Every time I needed my vehicle, it was brought around promptly with a smile. It’s clear that this team takes pride in what they do and works hard to make guests feel taken care of.
Great valet service can really set the tone for a stay, and this team absolutely delivered. Thank you for the excellent service and hospitality — it made my visit to the Renaissance Montgomery even better. Highly recommend!
The rooms were clean, beautiful location, and a nice bathroom. My only problem is that there are no microwaves.
Rod he’s a great person friendly great customer service 10/10
My organization held an all staff retreat and a board meeting at the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery. I had the pleasure of working with a DeAondre. He provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond. One of my colleagues and I were tasked with going to get 29 packs of 24 x 16 ounce water bottles. When we pulled up in front of the hotel, DeAondre looked at us and immediately went and got two luggage carts before we even had to ask. And then he helped us move what felt like 1,000,000 pounds of water to our meeting room that we had reserved. The meeting from elt like it was 12 miles away. It was 11 PM by the way. Most importantly, this was not his job and he didn’t have to do it. But he saw two people in need and just jumped in. You can’t beat that. And if it weren’t for him, we would still be carrying that water from the car to that second floor meeting room right now. He’s a gem.
Rod very courteous and took care of me
Rod was great valet he was so helpful and held the door open for me while I take in my stuff
