Also, if the guest doesn't pay the 50% of the stay, the booking might be canceled by the hotel.

Nice, quite , romantic
Luxe, calme, charme et intimité. L'hôtel du Lac a gardé un cadre historique, rénové avec goût , l'accueil est convivial, avec la bonne distance, et la restauration excellente.

The Grand Hotel du Lac is expensive but the beautiful location and views, quality of service, rooms and food did not disappoint. The swimming pool is a little smaller than anticipated but it is so close to Lake Geneva that, if you want more than just a 'quick dip', it is easy to swim in the lake. A very enjoyable couple of days.
The general vibe of the hotel is quite, sophisticated and relaxed. However, the Buddha Beach Bar, which serves less formal food played music (not a problem) but with a heavy, banging, base beat - not at all in keeping with the hotel and not conducive to relaxing by the pool. My room also overlooked this bar which could have been incredibly annoying but I have to say that brilliant double glazing meant it wasn't a problem in the room - just by the pool!

Precisamente eso es lo que más me gustó del hotel, una profusa decoración de hotel señorial de hace un siglo, unas salas maravillosas, una galeria para cenas y desayunos excepcional, una salida al paseo del lago a traves de jardin que le da una elegancia muy especial. El Grand Hotel du Lac es uno de los pocos hoteles que han sabido conservar ese maravilloso ambiente de lujo decadente.
Además, el desayuno es espectacular, cuidan cada detalle; el restaurante da muy bien de cenar y dispone de una pequeña piscina al aire libre muy agradable.
Pedimos una suite junior con vistas al lago y capacidad para tres adultos. Aunque la llaman suite junior, no es mucho mayor q una habitacional normal (el baño sí es mas grande) y el tercer adulto dispone de una cama supletoria, mucho peor que las otras dos, puesta en una esquina de la que tienen que retirar las mesas y sillas q se amontonan en la otra esquina. Eso es una habitación doble con una cama supletoria, no una habitación para tres adultos.
Además, dada la situación de la habitación en un extremo del edificio, las vistas al lago eran limitadas, se veían más los arboles y el parking

Very nicely decorated. Great location.
Service was spotty. In the tiny pool there is no service and it was hard to get Marina staff to serve us a drink. Buda Bar only opens at 4:30PM. No doorman, had to carry bags when leaving. The mismatch between decor and service was a bit odd.
Excellent location, clean and luxurious
Breakfast service was sub standard for a 5 star hotel.
